General overview

Perfectly located (right in the very centre!) sunny & new apartment in historical Warsaw. Previously an original HOMEEXCHANGE.COM MEMBER. Welcome to our home! We have been travelling all around a world and find it one of our goals in life however we are always happy to return to our home and our city - Warsaw. One of a kind city and a real (positive) surprise to many.... Warsaw is a city beloved by Chopin and filled to the limit with his music (check the website to find out upcoming events: http://en.chopin.nifc.pl/institute/concerts/birthday ). And did you know that Warsaw is the actual capital of European Jazz with many amazing festivals taking place almost all year long such as Jazz Jamboree or Warsaw Summer Jazz Days?

The space

Truly lovely, modern and very sunny apartment with huge windows and beautiful wooden floors that we've bought and renovated just two years ago. It’s perfect for a couple or a small family. It's situated on the 5th floor out of 6 (with a lift and portiere) in a newly build prestigious apartment house in the very central, yet surprisingly quiet and green part of Warsaw. It has altogether 72 m2 that include : 1/ separate master bedroom with a king-size double bed (140 cm.) 2/ living room (25 m2), 3/modern well-equipped kitchen that is open to the living room (washing machine, oven, professional coffee machine (La Pavoni), Soda Stream water system, dining table etc. There's also a third room that is our study room but we would prefer to treat it as our storage space during our vacancy (private space) 3/ Modern bathroom with a bathtub and a shower option +WC 4/ Separate WC with a washing machine etc. 5/The Apartment has also a private balcony/terrace - around 16 m2 with a table, chairs, sofa, hammock chairs and many plants that we are trying to grow :-), We just love to spend time out there :-) The apartment has very fast and unlimited wifi internet, cable tv with many international and sports channels.

Pets: As we are pet lovers if needed we'll be happy to take care of your smaller friend. We have a beautiful and sweet cat ourselves - Mela but we would rather leave her at my parent's home during our vacancy unless otherwise agreed. Neighbourhood

Warsaw is filled with history, memories and stories (if you are interested in Jewish history look here: http://www.polin.pl/en ), or maybe II World War -> Warsaw Uprising Museum is a must! http://www.1944.pl/en Yet, Warsaw is a modern and very easy to live in the city. So if you fancy just a fabulous (and not expensive) shopping you will also find more than you need :-) Neighbourhood and shopping : The very central and historical part of Warsaw. You can walk to most of the attractions in the city. Close to a place where the ghetto used to be. Five minutes walk from an old synagogue. There are also two fantastic shopping malls within a distance of 1,5 km. like: Zlote Tarasy or Arkadia and a great Hala Mirowska and Hala Gwardii with dozens of food stalls open Friday-Sunday less than 500 m. from our place.

Nearest airport

Chopin airport (Lotnisko Okęcie). 25 min. cab ride, around 50 PLN (approx. 13 e.), Modlin airport (around 50 min. cab ride, around 100 PLN or bus service (approx. 2 hours)

Getting around

Perfectly connected with every part of the city but at the same time quiet and green. There's plenty of small shops in our nearest surrounding, famous veggie and fruit market (Hala Mirowska - one of the oldest in the city), cafes and perfect public transportation including trams and buses (closest stop is 150 m. away). The nearest metro station is around 700 m. away. There’s also cheap and very convenient veturillo (public bicycles) system with the nearest station just around a corner. Most attractions are reachable by foot.
