Neighbourhood

Our little historic hamlet is quiet and very safe. We have a small local history museum, and Gates Hall, the oldest continually running small theater in America. This is the heart of apple country. Miles of beautiful blossoms in spring, and you-pick fruit farms in summer and fall. When the salmon run in the fall, fishermen say we have the “sweet spot” of the creek in our backyard. It is a short walk to the harbor on the shore of Lake Ontario, where you can also take a fishing charter. There is a waterfront restaurant, pizza shop, and pub within walking distance. Nearby you will find farm markets, breweries and cideries. Easy day trips to Niagara Falls or Finger Lakes Wine Country. A public sandy beach is a short drive away in Sodus Point, NY. Driving or biking along this route gives stunning views of the lake and orchards. Drive to nearby Rochester, NY for museums, zoo, amusement park, art galleries, and baseball games. Visit the heart of NY - the Finger Lakes. Here you will find award winning wineries, beautiful landscapes and stunning vistas. Outdoor enthusiasts will want to visit Chimney Bluffs State Park, Watkins Glen State Park, Stony Brook State Park, and Letchworth State Park (The Grand Canyon of the East.)
