General overview

My home is situated a few minutes walk from the high street where you will find supermarkets, cafes, a pub, shops and bus stops. Walking in the opposite direction down the lane there are fields and countryside. Hadleigh Castle is at the end of the lane with a great picnic spot and views of the Thames Estuary. Hadleigh Country Park where the 2012 mountain bike Olympics were held is a 15 minute walk away. There are rolling hills, children’s play areas and bike tracks. The cafe serve drinks and hot and cold food. Throughout the summer events are held in the park and every Saturday there is a park run. 10 minutes drive away is the beach in Leigh on sea. Leigh on sea has a train station going into London. This journey takes approximately 50 minutes. There is an old town in Leigh on sea where there a few pubs and eateries. It is still a working fishing town (mainly for cockles). The old cockle sheds are open selling fresh fish and shellfish at the weekends. In the town of Leigh on sea there are lots of lovely independent shops, resturants, cafes and bars. Further along the coast there is Southend on sea with a big adventure park, airport and busy small city.
