Neighbourhood
Our house is located at the end of a court in a quiet, upscale neighborhood only 4 miles from downtown Bend and even closer to countless miles of scenic hiking and mountain bike trails. Also nearby is the Deschutes National Forest, the Three Sisters Wilderness, rafting, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on the Deschutes River, and fly fishing on the famous Metolius River. From approximately late November through April there is downhill skiing at the Mount Bachelor ski resort (only 25 minutes away) and nordic and skate skiing and any one of the many snow parks along the Cascade Lakes Highway.

Getting Around
Downtown Bend is only 4 miles (6.4 km) from our home and the shops, restaurants and the famous Sparrow Bakery is only 1 mile (1.5 km) away in Northwest Crossing. The use of a 2018 VW Tiguan SEL or a 2021 RAM Limited might possible, if it were (1) a reciprocal car exchange, and 2) I can convince my wife it’s a good idea.
