We spent 10 wonderful days in this lovely apartment with its large terrace for dining, sunbathing and enjoying the amazing view and sunsets. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Overlooking Playa de Amadores which is a fun beach resort with everything you would need for a relaxing holiday, clean beach, lovely clear water and lots of food and drink options. A short easy walk from the apartment there is a smaller shopping and entertainment centre if you don’t want to venture too far but there are always taxis right outside if you do. We used a car to explore the other nearby resorts, sand dunes, hinterland villages as well as historical Las Palmas, all which we really enjoyed. Communication with Alex was always spot on, smooth and quick. Thanks for a great exchange with lots of happy memories.

We spent a wonderful week in mid-December at Alexandra’s apartment in Gran Canaria and truly loved it. Communication was smooth and easy from start to finish, and Alexandra was incredibly helpful, sharing lots of great local tips. One of our favorite moments each day was enjoying the sea view from the terrace. Playa Amadores, with its azure-blue water and circular beach, is stunning and a true gem along the west coast of Gran Canaria. During the week we also took lovely trips to Puerto de Mogán, the sand dunes, Las Palmas (we loved the beautiful historic center), and inland to Tejeda and Teror. We also visited a large cactus garden Cactualdea Park, with an impressive collection. Definitely worth seeing. The mountain landscapes and viewpoints at Gran Canaria were absolutely breathtaking. We didn’t use the shared pool as the water was a bit too coldish an we were not in a cold dip mood. The weather overall was perfect: sunshine, blue skies and pleasantly warm temperatures every day. We had a fantastic experience at Alexandra's beautiful home in Puerto Rico. The apartment itself was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly located to enjoy everything Gran Canaria has to offer. The views were stunning. What really set this stay apart was Alexandra's professionalism and outstanding communication. From the moment of initial conversations almost 2 years ago, the process was seamless, friendly, and efficient. It's clear that Alexandra is a genuine, considerate host who ensures her guests have the best possible experience. As Alexandra mentioned, there has been an accidental damage and we were so stressful of it but Alexandra made us relieved and everything including the cost was sorted with shared trust and understanding. This was our first time actually meeting our host face to face, and it reinforced how much I love this system! Alexandra and Quino went above and beyond to welcome us to their home in Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria. They picked us up at the airport (knowing that we would be discombobulated by the two flights leading us here) and brought us to their lovely apartment in Puerto Rico. There, they'd provided samples of the local cheese and wine, because, though our conversations, they knew how interested we were in local foods. The apartment was spotlessly clean, cozy and fully equipped -- but the VIEW was what blew us away. There is a 270 degree view of the ocean, and the beach below that is perfect for swimming, kayaking, or just reading a book under the umbrella. We had never been to Gran Canaria, and took the exchange on a whim -- but we are so glad we did. We discovered a completely new area, but more importantly, we've met Alex and Quino, who I'm certain we will be friends with moving forward.

Our stay at Alex's vacation home in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria (Amadores) was the starting point for our May 2025 Spain adventure. This was our 'vacation stop' and it was incredible. We highly recommend exchanging with Alex. Every box was checked to provide a great exchange experience. Alex's home was comfortable, had everything we needed, and the terrace and daily views, including sunsets were breath-taking. Our communication throughout was excellent, and Alex's assistance with our questions during the planning stage really helped! Alex's home documentation was very helpful. We explored most of what was highlighted, including the market in Mogan, Maspalomas Dunes and many other great places. The dining recommendations were great, and we did visit the Grill Garoe a few times which has an excellent selection, tasty food and great overall value. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us, and we look forward to meeting you two when you arrive in Toronto soon.

What can we say about our stay at Alex’s in Puerto Rico on Gran Canaria? One word: fabulous! I offered Alex and her husband a globe so my sister and I could have our yearly meetup, just the two of us! We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival and were shown around their stunning appartment, it is quaint, clean, modern with everything you need to have a great holiday. My sister and I felt so grateful to meet them both, they are so friendly and relaxed, it made us feel right at home. We felt very spoiled as well with the stunning view from the terrasse of the nicest beach on the island and such exquisit sunsets (and rainbows!). We had rented a car to visit the island with ease, but we noticed that there were loads of taxis and buses to move around, and the complex is situated at walking distance to restaurants and shops. During our 9 day stay we visited the piscinas naturales in Agaete in the North, the charming village of Mogán, valleys and mountains where we ate in a cave restaurant close to Guayadeque (stunning region!)… oh and we did ALOT of beaching on the Amadores beach! All in all, I would highly recomment to anyone to exchange with Alex, this was an absolutely wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful stay thanks to Alexandra''s organisation and communication skills. Ours was a ten day exchange where we were looking for sunshine, good walking together with accommodation to match. We found it, a well appointed apartment. The accommodation was within walking distance of supermarkets, bars, cafes and restaurants.

Alexandra and her husband welcomed us at the apartment. They were very kind in briefing us shortly about it, as they were worried about us being tired from the trip. They had some treats prepared, which we really enjoyed. We had the chance to be with Alexandra later on, which was super fun (she's hilarious) and she gave us lot's of tips, as she know the island very well. The apartment has a beautiful view, all the utensils you need, is near the beach Amadores) and has a supermarket across the street and other services. Cozy apartment, well located in the south of the island. Renovated and decorated with very good taste, very clean and with magnificent views. We knew the island, so we took the opportunity to go to the beach, walk and eat in the restaurants in the area. These days helped us disconnect and get out of the routine. Simply thank Alexandra and her partner for giving us the opportunity to enjoy their apartment as a family. We loved it!.
