We had a wonderful stay at Kasia's home! They are such a lovely family and we are so glad this non-simultaneous exchange could work out. Kasia's home is quite spacious and comfortable, with all modern amenities. On top it is the last floor so extremely quiet, which was well appreciated by these Parisians! The location is great, just a few minutes to two metro lines and 30-45 minutes to most Berlin attractions. We had a very fluid and easy communication with the family throughout there stay (including their help when our daughter was ill). We love Berlin and were very grateful to have this opportunity to come during the Christmas and New Years holidays. Thanks so much Kasia and family for this pleasant exchange experience.
Dear Hannah and Cédric, thank you very much for your review. We also loved to have you as our guests.
Kasia and family came to our home on a non-simultaneous exchange. They are a lovely family from Berlin. We had very fluid exchanges with them while they were here. Our home was left spotless after they left. We highly recommend this family for future exchanges.
Hannah, Cédric and the girls were the perfect guests. The communication between us was unproblematic. And the highlight was that they left our apartment in a spotless condition. We were expecting a busy evening after getting back home, instead we had a relaxing one, as there was nothing left for us to do :) Everything was clean and tidy. We appreciated you very much as our guests and would gladly host your again!
This was our first PLU exchange and we were delighted! We stayed in Hanna's and Cedric's place in Paris for one week and had already been in regular contact long before our arrival. Our hosts received us hospitably and warmly. The apartment was tidy, comfortably arranged for a family of four, with a big, soft sofa, and it was very well connected. The handbook on how to use the apartment and the recommendations of nearby stores and restaurants were very useful. We would not hesitate to exchange with Cedric and Hannah again. Thank you again for your hospitality and see you soon at our place!

Katarzyna
Hello, we are a family of four from Berlin, Germany, a data scientist (Kasia) and a software developer (Bartek), both in our forties, with two children: Kora, 10, and Emil, 11 yo.
We used to exchange a lot on Couchsurfing in the past, before we had kids, mostly as hosts, but also as guests, and now we are back in the game.
Due to the school age of our children, the availability of our apartment for simultaneous and non-simultaneous exchanges is limited to the school- and public holidays in Berlin. Otherwise we might be able to offer you a couch for a shorter stay while we are at home (in that case our capacity is smaller, optimally max 2 guests who can share one bed).
We can also exchange simultaneously on weekends.
We are open to any destination with a slight preference for places where we can get (and get around) without a car. We would also gladly visit locations less or not at all popular among tourists.
So if you fancy a stay in a big and comfortable apartment in a very safe area in Berlin, Germany, feel free to contact us and let's talk.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
Our board game corner. The highboard in the background is filled with dozens of board games.
Our office corner with a convertible double guest sofa-bed and darts board.
View from the terrase to the calm and well maintained yard.
Our kitchen and dining room. The slopes look dangerous only in the photo, in fact, the kitchen is very spacious.
