General overview
Our home is a Victorian 4 bedroom detached. We love the style of our home and the large garden. The kitchen is a very sociable area and we spend a lot of our time here as a family. We have shops and a bakery and pub within walking distance and bus stops outside the house which will take you into the Reading and further afield. We have lots of space in our home, a play room, a study, a conservatory and a cosy lounge. We have Amazon Prime, Disney and Netflix available on the TV. We are sure you will love staying here.
The space
On our ground floor we have a lounge, study, playroom, kitchen and conservatory with a downstairs toilet and utility room.
On the first floor we have another toilet, family bathroom and 3 bedrooms - one is a kids room with single bed, the next is a kids room with a European sized double bed and then the master bedroom with king sized bed, dressing room and ensuite. We then have a 4th bedroom which is a loft conversion with a double bed.
Guest access
3 floors. As our home is Victorian it does have the odd step between rooms.
Notes
We have a 4 bedroom Victorian home in Reading, Berkshire, UK. We live in village just ten minutes from Reading town so you can get the best of both. Reading to Paddington on the train is 25 minutes or you can get the Elizabeth tube all the way into central London which takes an hour with no changes. We live half an hour's drive from Windsor, 45 minutes from Oxford, just over an hour from beautiful beaches and just over an hour from Bristol and Bath and the Cotswolds and 2 hours to Cardiff so it's a great place to base yourself.
Last year we travelled for a few months and in that time we rented our home on Airbnb so we have plenty of lovely reviews about our house that I can share.

We are a family with 2 kids, Hugo (2018) & Sloane (2020). We love to travel together and experience different cultures. We are always planning our next adventure! We are new to home exchanges but while travelling for a few months last year we did host a number of guests on Airbnb.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
This is the master bedroom with king size bed, through the walkway is a large dressing room and bathroom
This is our double bedroom in the loft conversion.
This is our smallest room, it's my daughter's and has a childs single bed in it.
This is a large room with a European double bed (slightly smaller than a standard double bed)
This is the kids play room. It now has a sofa in it too - I need newer photos. We have plenty of toys for your little ones!
This is the family bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower
This is our office downstairs. We also have another desk in the master bedroom dressing area if you need more than one.
This is our conservatory. It has under floor heating for the colder months and typically in the hot months gets a lot of sun which is lovely with the doors wide open
This is our family kitchen. We have a range cooker, air fryer, kitchen aid etc. Dishwasher and fridge freezer and lots of extra bits you would need. Our washing machine and tumble dryer are in a separate utility room.
