General overview
We have sold our rose bay townhouse.
New home coming to PLU start of 2025. We will be spending the next 6 months doing massive renovations to a federation semi in north randwick - new kitchen, 3 new bathrooms, new outdoor kitchen and gardening. We can’t wait to welcome guests to our randwick home from 2025.
The home is 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, study and large garden. 400 meters from centenntial park and queens park, 10 mins from prince of wales hospital, 10 mins from under Uni, walking distance to trams, 13 minutes by bus to clovelly beach for swimming and snorkeling and a great pub. Kids and bike riders will love centennial park. There are dedicated bike tracks for kids and a bigger trail for adults. Wild play water area, lots of playgrounds, and large ponds to feed ducks or have a picnic. 10 mins by bus to Bondi junction.

My kids are at preschool and school so our house is only available during the Australian school holidays. We can do sim or non sim or globe. Due to our kids ages we can only do sim in Aus currently but hoping to start doing overseas trips from 2025 when they are older.
Really interested in overseas ski locations for 2025 but would need to be close to the snow and not a really long drive.

Neighbourhood
Bus stop right outside our house. 10 mins drive to Bondi beach (its not far by distance but traffic in Sydney around summer is busy) and watsons bay. 15-20 min walk to Rose Bay ferry terminal which will take you to the city. 5 mins walk to parks with the most incredible Harbour views and there are gorgeous cliff top walks just up the hill. Depending on the exchange offer and dates, there is also potential to stay in a Katoomba Blue mountains in a brand new home currently under construction.
One of my favorite hidden spots to visit is parsley bay. There is a rainforest gully with water dragons hiding in the waterfalls, a picturesque bridge arching over the water and an amazing park for the kids to play while you sit on the sand or picnic on the grass.

Sydney Airport is 30-45 mins drive depending on traffic
Getting around
There is great local public transport near our home (bus stop right outside home, ferry walking distance) but a hire car can be useful if you have little kids who complain of tired legs. Uber is also very available locally and inexpensive

We had a fabulous week in Sydney courtesy of Sarah & her family. Due to extenuating circumstances (an up & coming house move), Sarah was unable to exchange with us. However her parents kindly agreed to step into the breach & help out by offering their home instead. So we exchanged - not with Rose Bay- but with a beautiful property in Dover Heights, an upscale district close to Rose Bay. We are so grateful to Sarah & family making such efforts, as we have never been to Sydney before. It was a wonderful start to our holiday, which now continues with 2 weeks in Melbourne (again courtesy of PLU) Sarah was a great communicator with many tips on the local area which really helped our enjoyment of this short break. Plans for the new home look amazing & I'm sure that when ready, it will be a fabulous place to stay. I can certainly guarantee that Sarah, despite the demands of 2 little girls, will be very responsive & do everything she can to make PLU guests as comfortable as possible -
We had the most enjoyable experience at Sarah,s and Darren,s home in beautiful Rose Bay over the new years period.. The home was a comfortable and very clean home that was a great fit for our group of 4 ,it had all the amenities that we needed and more . The public transport is within walking distance ,in fact so close that our car was not needed and cafes and all grocery stores are very close. Communication with Sarah and Darren was excellent and their home will be on our favorite list. -
Sarah and Darren's home in Rose Bay is a fantastic base for exploring Sydney Harbor and the surrounding Harbor suburbs. Their home had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Over a week we relied entirely on walking and Harbor ferries (no cars at all). Our adventures included The Opera House, Botanical Gardens, Taronga Zoo, The Rocks., Manly, Watson's Bay and Darling Harbor. The ferries are fast, frequent, well priced and very scenic. The Rose Bay area is full of walkable shops and restaurants with everything you might want.
