General overview
Large 4,000 sq ft family-friendly 5 bedroom 3.5 bathroom house, situated in a quiet neighborhood in Maine. 40 minutes from Portland International Jetport, 2 minutes from Vista Pick Your Own Apple Orchard, 5 minutes from Bates College, 15 minutes from Lost Valley Ski Area and and within easy driving distance to many hiking trails, beaches and state parks for endless day trip adventures (let us know if you want to hear about some of our favorite local hidden gems!!)
The space
Welcome to our home! We are situated in central Maine, tucked among all of the rivers and mountains. We custom built this house 4 years ago with lots of great amenities. The house has geothermal heat and central air conditioning.
The main floor has the king bed master bedroom with en suite containing a soaking tub and a huge custom walk-in shower with multiple shower heads. Also on the main floor is the large open kitchen, dining area, and living room with 16 ft ceilings, gas fireplace and huge wall of windows to enjoy the nightly sunsets. There is also a mudroom with hooks and cubbies, a half bath, full laundry room with washer & dryer, and an office space.
The bottom floor is a full walkout "basement" with 10 ft ceilings and lots of windows. Two bedrooms, one with a full bed and one with a queen bed are located on the bottom floor, along with a full bathroom, workout gym and a large rec room.
The top floor contains two additional bedrooms with full beds, and a full bathroom, along with a loft space with piano.
There is also a two car garage, and lots of outdoor space with a garden, tree house, and fire pit.
Guest access
3 story house situated on top of a hill. There is a wide staircase leading to both the upper and lower levels.

2 minutes from Vista Apple Orchard/tasting room for apple picking and sampling wines & ciders.
5 minutes from Bates College.
8 minutes from restaurants, brew pubs, Walmart, Starbucks.
15 minutes to Lost Valley ski area
20 minutes to the local state parks for pond swimming & hiking.
30 minutes from Bowdoin College.
40 minute drive to Portland, ME.
40 minutes to Freeport Shopping Outlets and L.L. Bean flagship store.
50 minutes from Colby College.
1 hour from southern ocean swimming beaches and piers (Old Orchard, Ogunquit, etc)
1 hour from amusement parks and water parks.
1 hour from northern state parks (Reid, Popham) for ocean swimming, forts and hiking.
1.5 hours to Portsmouth, NH.
1.75 hours to Sugarloaf Ski Area.
2 hours to Acadia National Park.
2.5 hours to Boston, MA.
