Julia and Richard are the most delightful couple . We were lucky enough to find them both home when visiting their lovely traditional home set in the most peaceful surroundings overlooking the vineyards . Julia was so helpful , advising us where to visit, where to eat and the best most scenic route to drive around this beautiful area. Julia was easy to communicate with and help was always on hand should we need it . Our week was unforgettable leaving us with lasting beautiful memories of this beautiful area. Thank you both - we had a wonderful stay and really appreciated your superb hospitality.

Dear Julia and Richard, How hospitable you have been to us in your beautiful location with an amazing view in Tuscany! We stayed in your nice apartment in your house for a week. Julia, you have helped us a lot to find the most beautiful places in your Tuscany. No question was too much for you. A delicious bottle of red wine was waiting for us on arrival. Julia and Richard are wonderful hosts! They are most welcoming and entertaining. We enjoyed our visit in their rustic apartment beautifully decorated by Julia. The location area is wonderful, somewhat secluded, but with many easily accessible towns nearby to explore. We had delicious meals in all the restaurants we tried!

We had the most delightful 2 weeks at Julia’s house in Tuscany. The home is centrally placed to visit the remarkable towns and cities in the most beautiful part of Italy. The house is part of a very small commune and was very comfortable, quiet and near great walking trails. Restaurant and food stores are nearby with a variety of options….all good. We have over 50 exchanges and Julia’s house was the best. Thanks Julia for all your curtesy.

Julia and Richard are lovely exchange partners. We had a relaxing and incredibly enjoyable time exploring this part of Italy. Gaiole in Chianti is in an ideal location. We did day trips to Siena, Pienza and Cortona. If only we had more time! Julia is a gifted artist and you can see her beautiful design touches all throughout the house and the pictures don't do it justice. I hope we have the opportunity to visit again! We had a wonderful time in Julia’s apartment beneath her house. Magical setting and ideal to discover Chianti with a car. We were there in November. Ebiking trails near by if you wanted. Comfortable and spacious and warm.

We had the most wonderful stay at Richard and Julia's place in Chianti. Their charming restored farmhouse is lovingly decorated and very comfortable and well equipped for a longer stay. We really enjoyed the area for how easy it was to get to many places which we wanted to explore (Sienna, San G. and the lovely towns and villages in the Chianti region, Radda, Greve, Gaiole, and the small hamlet of Monti nearby.) There are electric bikes which you can rent next door at B & B, and it is a wonderful area to ride bikes around. Lots of rolling hills with beautiful vistas, dotted with vineyards and olive and cypress trees. It was very green there, even in September. We loved the shaded yard overlooking the vineyards and the views were so peaceful and serene. It is a very quiet place to rest and restore and have a comfy home base. If you are fortunate, like we were, Richard and Julia may be there as well in their home upstairs, and that only added to our experience, as they are such lovely people, kind and generous. Thank you so much Julia and Richard for hosting us and sharing your lovely place with us. You are the best!
