Happy to meet other PLU members and give them tips about our area :)
Pauline’s little beach shack was great. It was perfect for the two of us. She went above and beyond to help us when another PLU member let us down at the last minute. The shack had air con, a double bed and a small kitchen, but it had all the gadgets you need for self catering or for a bbq up the road. The caravan park mainly has permanent residents who are friendly and very quiet day and night. Her place is across that path from the beach track. Shops are 10 minutes drive and the coffee shop across the road is excellent.
We joined PLU on 18th March 2022. Reaching out to Pauline and Cameron was our first encounter with the PLU community. Pauline was delightful, very helpful and only too willing to assist us in any way possible. All of our communication was with Pauline via the PLU email system. Given that we did not have the required drivers licence and this was our first experience in motorhome living we did not want to move the motorhome. As a result we agreed that the motorhome would be located for one week at Stanley on the north west coast of Tasmania and be relocated for the second to Devonport. This worked brilliantly allowing us to explore each region from a comfortable home base over a seven day period. The motorhome was well appointed will all the conveniences we required. The bed was very comfortable and the shower, bathroom and toilet system functioned very well. A few pointers to be learned by us but all good. The ventilation - heating and cooling - were available if required. There was an outdoor awning which could be adjusted according to the weather conditions. Outdoor seating and table were also available extending the living area and maximising outdoor living. Pauline was available if needed to answer any questions and the changeover and handover went well. All in all a lovely experience. My only proviso: We had not lived in such close quarters previously so this took some adjustment. Suggest you minisime what you take and enjoy the great outdoors and opportunities this exchange offers. This was all on us. Pauline & Cameron were great hosts and only too willing to accommodate us.
We had a great time exploring The North West of Tasmania from Pauline and Cameron's home on wheels. It is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Many thanks to our lovely hosts Pauline and Cameron for the opportunity to exchange!
Pauline & Cam’s Motorhome was the perfect way to travel & see Tasmania. It had everything we needed & more!
We couldn’t have asked to meet nicer hosts- Pauline & Cam went out of their way to pick us up, show us around their local area & get us on our way. Thank you both so much - it was fabulous! 🥰
Pauline and Cameron’s luxury motorhome was nothing short of amazing.
Being able to stay in a spectacular remote location and have a comfortable (deluxe) space to enjoy after a day’s exploration was the best!
We were so pleased they allowed us to take our pooch Janet along with us too.
We loved every minute! Thanks guys :-)
Pauline and Cam were amazing hosts. They picked me up and dropped me to airport, made sure I was comfortable, and even gave me fresh bread and vanilla slices!
I loved my stay!
Pauline and Cameron stayed in our home as part of a non reciprocal exchange. They looked after our dog Teddy aswell as looking after our home very well. We were delighted to know that Teddy could stay in the comfort of his own home while we were away and really appreciated Pauline and Cameron minding him for us. Cameron very kindly baked delicious scones for our return which was a very unexpected and welcome treat! We would happily share our home with Pauline and Cameron again.
Im so lucky to have my very first exchange with Pauline and Cameron :-) They were so easy to talk to and great guests, Im very thankful for looking after our home and our plants too! I hope they had a fab time traveling around Ireland this summer and hopefully we’ll be able to make it to Tasmania sometime :-)
It was great to have Pauline and Cameron as my first PLU guests. Very easy guests, lots of fun sharing beautiful Donegal with them. They left my home in perfect order, watered my plants as needed. Plan to visit them in Tadmania sometime in the future.
Such a pleasure to be able to exchange with Pauline and Cameron, they kept in touch throughout, and were no bother at all. They didn't hesitate to reach out when needed, I just hope I was able to offer them a great stay, as I was also away on holiday, and was not always reachable. I'm really hoping that we will be able to meet before they head off on their return journey. I love that they are making the most of life and exploring the world. The house was spotless upon my return. Take care and enjoy the rest of your amazing trip.
I'm so glad to have someone try our caravan out as we just love it. Pauline and Cam looked after it really well and we were lucky enough to catch up with them before leaving for their next home in their trip
It was lovely to see Pauline and Cam again and to be able to offer them a place to stay. They took great care of our furbabies and home for the weekend.
Pauline and her travel party took very good care of my house, kept it clean and neat. Really appreciated their thoughtfulness and easy going nature. No fuss and highly adaptable travelers. 👍🏼
It was so much fun to meet Pauline, Milanda and Cameron. I wish I could have spent more time with them but really happy to have spent a bit of time chatting and getting to know each other and delighted we could provide a base for their epic trip home. Someday I hope to see them again on their side of the world. They generously looked after our dogs for a couple of days at the end of their exchange while we were at a festival, and looked after our home throughout their stay.
Pauline, Cameron and friends looked after our hens and our house so well. They were kind, fun l, friendly & helpful. They left everything spic and span!
It was great to have the opportunity to meet such lovely people.
Pauline and Cameron were good communicators at all stages of their exchange and easy to get along with. Our house was left in great condition and had been cleaned well and everything left neat and tidy.
Cameron and I stayed at Gillians home to pet sit Teddy, the familys beautiful Bernadoodle.
We love dogs and miss ours at home while over doing other PLU exchanges.
Teddy is a big goof ball and loves to be around people and cuddles. He is still young and could benefit with with a bit more training.
We chose to stay home with him on most of ours days there. We did get out for a drive to Trim and the castle, plus one day into Dublin on the bus. But there are soo many sites to see only a short drive from Gillian's home.
The Village of Ratoath is a short walk away and its lovely and it has everything you need.
Its a great area to stay in.
Thank you Gillian for trusting us with your big baby :)

Feedback for Anita·Non-Simultaneous exchange·4 nights
Anita reached out last min on Christmas Eve and we didn’t quite have our shack ready for exchanging. But wanted to help them out.
There was great communication and they respected our small cozy beach shack.
Thank Anita & Jon and hope you enjoy the rest of your Tassie trip :)
Feedback for Rachel·Non-Reciprocal exchange·4 nights
Rachel's home was perfect for our 5 day stay in Singapore on our trip home to Australia from Europe.
So close to public transport . There is a food centre across the road as well as a shopping centre.
The apartment is very comfortable and we enjoyed the air-conditioning and use of the swimming pool, as we are not used to the heat :)
Thank you so much Rachel for sharing your home with us :)
Feedback for Jeanine & Joe·Non-Reciprocal exchange·12 nights
It was an absolute pleasure to meet and stay at Jeanine & Joe.
We were given lots of pre arrival information on the area and how things work in the home.
They were home to welcome us on our arrival and we enjoyed their company for a few days prior to them going away . We looked after their 2 fur babies for a few days and they were no problems at all .
Their home is very comfortable and is only short walk to bus and into Belfast city in 20mins regularly.
The is lots to see in the area and plenty of day trips to explore.
The trip was special for myself and sister as we were born in Northern Ireland and were home to scatter our Dads ashes.
Thanks very much for everything Jeanie & Joe , keep on doing what you are doing !! as it’s fantastic !!
Love Pauline, Cameron & Milanda

Paul had his license to drive our motorhome, so we met at their home and did an easy swap for them to travel in it at their leisure.
They looked after it , even washing in before return :)
