Neighbourhood

We live in a quiet neighbourhood in a little village, which offers all the amenities you may need: food shops, bakery, pharmacy, restaurants, playground, etc. For citylife you will have to take the bus. There's a bus stop at a 2 minute walking distance that can take you straight to Bruges (trainstation) or Ghent (trainstation). From there you can go anywhere you want. We're close to the beach: Cadzand (NL) at 30 km and Knokke at 24 km. Our home is near the border with the Netherlands, where you can find Sluis as the closest town. Bruges is a captivating tourist destination known for its picturesque medieval architecture and charming canals, earning it the nickname "Venice of the North." Visitors can enjoy a stroll through the historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its cobblestone streets and beautifully preserved buildings. The city boasts a rich cultural scene with numerous museums, such as the Groeningemuseum, showcasing Flemish art. Bruges is also famous for its Belgian chocolate shops and local breweries, offering delightful culinary experiences. Additionally, the Belfry of Bruges provides stunning panoramic views of the city, making it a must-visit landmark. Ghent is a vibrant city that beautifully blends medieval charm with a lively contemporary atmosphere. Its stunning architecture includes the iconic St. Bavo's Cathedral, home to the famous Ghent Altarpiece, and the impressive Gravensteen Castle. The city is renowned for its bustling cultural scene, featuring numerous festivals, museums, and a thriving music scene. Jantien

Assalamu Alaykum, we're a family of 4 (with a new baby on the way). Feel free to contact us in any of these languages: English, Dutch, Pashto, Dari, Farsi, Urdu, Hindi, French and Spanish. I work as an HR project consultant and we are hoping to make this world a better, friendlier place. Currently we're sponsoring two children from respectively Paraguay and Timor-Leste through PLAN. Non-smokers who enjoy eating out, visiting local tourist attractions, walking, watching films. We either travel by ourselves or with the kids (4yo and 2yo). Our goal is to see the world and we are open to go pretty much anywhere. Very keen on the idea of exploring an area from a home rather than a hotel room. We enjoy traveling and making new friends.
