General overview
A tastefully decorated, shabby-chic style 4 bedroom family home. Part of our home is over 150years old. Relax in a beautiful designed garden with plenty of secret hide-aways to sit and dream the day away. Choose to sit or BBQ under a rose covered pergola, lie in a hammock or in a hot tub looking out at the surrounding fields, hills & woodland. A cooks kitchen & pantry makes cooking & dining a treat. A large front room offers relaxation in style, with baby grand piano and welsh dresser laiden with vintage crockery. Pet friendly and a stones throw to beautiful lakes, hills, walks, fishing, castles or an hour from beautiful beaches.
The space
An open plan kitchen, dining and living room, with wood burning stove. Plenty of kitchen gadgets., including a bean to cup coffe maker, within a well stocked pantry. A separate utility room shares space with an office. Spend your evenings playing the piano or board games, in a more formal front room. A downstairs bathroom has a walk-in rain shower.
Upstairs has a sumptuous master bedroom with antique furniture, beautiful artwork and walk-in wardrobe. My sons double bedroom hilds his natural history collections. My daughters bedroom is large, with one double bed and a day bed which can open to a second larger double bed. Our youngest daughters room is the smallest bedroom but the sweetest, being a box bed design (I'm currently creating!) The upstairs bathroom has a roll top bath where you can look out over fields with miniature Shetland ponies!
Guest access
Our home is over 2 floors with the original wooden staircase. Plenty of car parking space for a number of cars. The garden is secure for pets...who are very welcome in our home...but we ask that they stay downstairs 😀
Notes
We do have pets which we can arrange to be looked after...unless anyone would like the experience of looking after them. Gracey our 14.5hands pony, Snoop dog our lazy cat and our 2 funny dogs. Teddy, a standard wirehaired dachshund and Chester, a rather barmy fox poo! (A fox terrier crossed with a poodle)

Neighbourhood
A quiet rural retreat but with a close community. Our lane branches off to my brother and his family, with my aunty next door, so plenty of people to ask for help or advice! A local shop, pub and restaurant is a short 5 min drive away in Meifod.
We are in a perfect place to explore:
*Enjoy an Alpaca experience
*See or hike up Wales's highest waterfall in Llanrhaeadr
*Visit, hike or cycle around an extraordinary reservoir, straining tower, waterfall, iconic swim pool (at the top!)
*Discover a Grade 1 listed medieval castle & one of the most prominent in Wales, Powys Castle, Museum and formal Gardens
*There are plenty of market towns, castles or even beaches within an hours drive
*Close to the Berwyn mountains & Snowdonia
*Secret places to wild swim, hike, fish and more
*Enjoy the rolling landscape riding on Welshpool to Llanfair Light (Steam) Railway
*Close to historic border towns/cities of Shrewsbury, Chester and Aberystwyth
This area is a wonderful place to explore, whatever the weather.
Being rural, we do have to drive everywhere for amenities, but our home backs onto a wood and rivers for beautiful walks, straight from the door.
Getting to my home
You will need a car! We can do a car swap. If so, I can arrange local transport from the airport.
Nearest airport
Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham.
Getting around
Our nearest village is a 5 minute drive, nearest town 15min drive. If willing to drive upto 1hr on quiet country roads then you can see lots more!
