The space
Our 3 rooms apartment has a big living room with a couch that turns into a bed for 2. The kitchen is in an open space with the living. We have 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed (180*200) and another one with a bunk-bed.
There is also an open balcony and a nice view to the Pöstlingberg area. We do not have a TV yet, but we use a projector to watch movies. We have a good WIFI connection, access to Netflix is also provided.
The apartment is still a work in progress, we moved here few months ago. But we like it, the area is nice, easily accesible with public transport to the city center, close to the nature and parks. We would be more than happy to have you here to explore around :)
Guest access
The apartment is situated on the first floor, without elevator.
There is also a small garden that is accesible to the whole building. It has a big table and chairs, really nice to enjoy in the summer.

The area is really quiet and nice, there is a supermarket nearby, a restaurant with indoor playground, a pharmacy. There is also a great outside pool for the summer with nice picnic area.

The apartment is well positioned on the map, being easy to use it as a base to visit other cities like:

* Munich: 2:40 h drive

The nearest airport is the Linz airport which is 18 min drive away. Vienna airport is also very convenient, as there is a direct train from the airport to Linz. The train makes less than 2 hours.
Getting around
There is a very good connection to the city center. A tram station is just 6 min away (4 stops to the old town). There is also bus going to the lake close to us, the station for it is 4 min away.
We have just completed our non-simultaneous exchange with Diana's family and must say that we have had a really nice experience. They live in a cosy apartment near the centre of Linz. It is a very quiet area with shopping facilities nearby (at 2 mins. distance). The Danube is really close (5 mins) and the views from there are stunning. Although the flat is not big, it is OK for a family of four. We have felt at home and Diana has been really helpful. She has lent us a hand every time we needed it and her recommendations have been so useful. Thank you.
We made our first simultaneous exchange with Diana and her family and we just could not choose better :) They are really nice and friendly people, we even met personally and spent some time together during our last day in Linz. The apartment is very beautiful and comfortable, Diana left us a lot of food and drinks, that we really appreciated as we were coming late our first day as usually :) Also I have really enjoyed the morning caffees on the balcony with a great view of Postlingberg where Grottenbahn can be found, we really liked this dragon train for kids, especially the underground with its fairytale world, it was perfect for kids and funny for us as well. As it was really hot during our stay, we have visited the nearby pool, where many pools for kids or a playground can be found. We really enjoyed it here, I hope we will exchange at least once again to explore more, in Linz or in Prague :) Communication was and still is perfect, Diana is really helpful anytime and we got lot of useful information :) We came back to Prague to a perfectly cleaned apartment, Diana even washed the bed linens and towels :) I can not say anything other than that I highly recommend exchanging with this friendly family :)
We spent a great week this summer in Diana and Cornel's lovely flat. The flat was very comfortable - it is nice and tidy, so it was easy to find space for our things, and everything felt quite new. We loved sitting on the little balcony in the evenings from where we could look up at the Pöstlingberg mountain - and at Diana's pretty flowers. We also appreciated the fact that it was easy to create a cool breeze during the hot summer nights.
The flat is very conveniently located, only a short walk and a few tram stops from the city centre (but in spite of this the area is very nice and quiet). There are plenty of food shops within walking distance, too.
We enjoyed walking around Linz, visiting some of the interesting museums esp. the Ars Electronica and taking the tram up on the mountain that we could see from the balcony and enjoying the view from up there.
Linz was not a city that we knew anything about before we came there, but it is very centrally located for trips to for example Salzburg and Vienna. As we had been to both before, we opted to go on outings into the Czech republic and to the beautiful lakes and mountains of the Salzkammergut area.
Although Diana was a newbie exchanger, she understood the value of good communication and we had plenty of useful information, little videos etc. from her. Diana and Cornel very kindly let our American friends who happened to be holidaying not far from Linz come and stay with us for a couple of nights. Diana left us lots of food, drinks, cakes and other goodies, so we felt very welcome and highly recommend exchanging with this lovely couple.
DIana and her family are the most wonderful guests. Although we didn't meet in person, the communication was quick and easy.
They looked after our home so well and I would massively recommend any PLU to exchange with Diana and her family.
Diana and her family were great guests. We had dinners together and explored around. I recommend having an exchange with them!
Diana is the best guest you can wish for. We have welcomed her and her family during this summer already in our apartment and now she came to Prague again with her friend. They have stayed for one night only, but what a big surprise was waiting for us when we came back from another great exchange, she and her friend left us advent calendars for kids with many small or big items for every day, there was even one for me :) that I was not expected at all. Both were the best prepared advent calendars I have seen so far, really. She also brought many delicious Austrian sweets that I liked during our visit in Linz or beers for my husband as well, he really liked them. She is very friendly and generous. Thank you very much Diana, you are welcome anytime again :)
We came back to Prague to a perfectly cleaned apartment, Diana even washed the bed linens and towels :) I can not say anything other than that I highly recommend exchanging with this friendly family :)
Diana and Cornel were newbie exchangers but understood the need for good communication from the start, so we exchanged many messages and felt we got to know them well before the exchange. They and the two friends they brought were perfect guests and left our house nice and clean. They were very helpful and made up beds for our next set of exchangers and left the house in perfect order for those. Highly recommend an exchange with Diana and Cornel.
We enjoyed a lovely stay at Lisa and Ricardo's place. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you might need. We had breakfast on the spacious balcony and enjoyed playing board games and chilling in the living in the afternoons. The communication with Lisa was easy and she recommended us wonderful places around the area.
Tarragona is a nice place to visit! Full of history, great beaches and nice vibe overall. We organized day trips to Barcelona and other areas close to Tarragona (Siuriana was our favorite small village in the mountains).
Regarding eating out, we discovered The Cube Fusion in the old center of Tarragona and we just loved it!
We definitely recommend an exchange with Lisa and her family! Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!
Maria and her family were wonderful guests. The communication between us was very easy and even though we didn't get to meet in person, we felt like welcoming friends :)
We came back to a very clean house (even cleaner than we left it) and thoughtful gift. We totally recommend an exchange with this lovely family!
Cristina and her family were great guests! They left the house very clean and even changed the beddings and washed everything (we did not ask for this, but we appreciated it)! Thank you so much for your visit and we welcome you anytime here again!
Cristina's place is very well equiped and has everything you might need! The area is great and has a lot to offer. We enjoyed the walks in the forest and also the wonderful birds park that is not far from their place. The communication was very easy and Cristina and her family were great hosts. We look forward to their visit here in Linz :)
This is the second time we came to Katarina's home and all was just great!
This time I came together with my friend for a ladies weekend get away and we couldn't have chosen better!
Katarina and her family are great hosts! Even though we have decided very last minute to come, they prepared everything for us in such a thoughtful way :)
Prague is a wonderful city to visit and explore. We did enjoy a great weekend and we would come back anytime!
We highly recommend an exchange with Katarina and her family!
Thank you very much, Diana, I have to say that you are also a great guest, very friendly and generous - those Austrian sweets are already gone :D I can´t believe I have eaten so much chocolate last days :D There were so delicious and every day we are opening the windows on Advent calendar - best calendars I have seen ever! Thank you very much and you are welcome here anytime again :)
We spent a wonderful longer weekend in Prague at Katarina's place. The apartment is cozy and the atmosphere is so nice inside! We especially loved the terrace with the beautiful view, where we got to relax while the kids discovered and played with all the great toys they found there. We liked that the apartment is child friendly and we found there everything we needed. Katarina and her family left a lot of delicious food and drinks for us and great snacks and even souvenirs! They are very friendly and great, the communication was very easy and we got great tips about what to do and see around.
The kids also appreciated the playground that is just in front of the building and they played a lot there too.
We visited the center of Prague, a museum, a nice indoor playground, and a really nice restaurant by the lake. We got great recommendations and we loved every minute!
The best part of all this trip was that in the end we got to meet Katarina and her family and we spent a bit of time together. It felt like meeting (old) friends!
We would highly recommend an exchange with Katarina and her family!
Katarina and her family were great guests! They left everything in perfect order and we came back to a super clean house! They even left us gifts for the kids and some groceries that we really appreciated as there was a public holiday when we arrived back and everything was closed in Austria. We highly recommend them for an exchange!
Annemette and Ole are such great hosts!
We spent a week in their lovely house. They were so nice to let our friends Oana and Dani join us in this wonderful trip! The house is beautiful, filled with a lot of souvenirs, maps, history and modern details, they all tell you a great and interesting story!
We had all we needed there. There is a lot of space, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped and organized, the garden and terrace are lovely. We enjoyed having a barbecue in the garden and the breakfast on the terrace.
The neighborhood is quiet and lovely to explore.
We went to Aarhus, we visited the Legoland and also a very nice castle in Odense. We got to see the center of Silkeborg last day and we found it very nice too!
Annemette and Ole sent us very well structured documents with good information about things to see and do. We appreciate their advice!
It was our first exchange and we had a lovely experience! The communication was very easy and everything went smoothly! Thank you for this great experience and all you did for us!
We would definitely recommend an exchange with Annemette and Ole!
Annemette and Ole were great guests too. They took good care about our house and left the space very clean. When returning home, we found gifts and souvenirs from Silkeborg and a thank you note <3
