Neighbourhood
What you will love about this neighborhood
Just 40km north of Perth City and 800m from the Butler Train Station, Jindee is perfectly positioned to give you the freedom of both a relaxed beach and busy urban lifestyle.
Perth has a Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and mild winters. It is the sunniest capital city in Australia with clear blue skies and incredibly 70% of the year. Our warm weather and clean air allow us to enjoy a year-round outdoor lifestyle.
Perth coastline is really one long beach dotted all the way up the northern suburbs.
7.4km 1.5 hrs coastal walk is Burns Beach to Mullaloo beach.

Lake Joondalup has a 20km walk around the lake and there are many others.
No visit to Perth should be without a day trip over to Rottnest Island and the opportunity to see the Quokka, a unique little animal that is only found in two parts of the world. The ferry is 20 mins away and the ferry takes 45mins to get there. We consider Rottnest our home away from home and stay over for a week at a time whenever we can get away. It is a very popular for scuba diving, snorkling, surfing and swimming.

Shop up a storm or grab a bite to eat from the many options available along our coast or jump on the train and be in Joondalup City (12mins), Leederville (34mins) and Perth city (37mins). Mandurah is just over an hour away. We have a car available for you to use.
Perth is a mix of urban sophistication and natural beauty, including Kings Park - a massive green wonderland with panoramic views over the city and river below. Sprawling along the Indian ocean and centred around the Swan River, Perth is one of the most scenic cities of Australia and has undoubtedly some of the world's most beautiful beaches and thanks to its west coast location, the sunsets here are always magnificent. With an excellent museum, art and cultural centre, Perth's Aboriginal and European culture comes together. Perth Festival is in February and our Fringe Festival is the third largest in the world.
Another beautiful place for overseas visitors to see is the famous wine and surfing region of Margaret River, a three-hour drive south of us. We also holiday here two or three times a year. Some of the best wines come from this area, with many famous international chefs making Margaret River their home.
There are plenty of restaurants/cafes overlooking the ocean within easy reach.
The City of Joondalup and surrounds offer different cafes and bars.
Hillary's Boat Harbor is a popular for great food and retail therapy.
Northbridge with its many restaurants reflects the multicultural aspect of Perth with its diverse food choices
For retail therapy Lakeside Joondalup, Karrinyup and Whitford City Shopping centres.
Walking, swimming, horse riding, walking along the Bibulman Track.
Day tripping: Rottnest Island, Kings Park, Mandurah, Rockingham, Town of York, Serpentine Falls, and the lovely wine region of the Swan Valley.
Bit of culture: The city offers Museums, Art Gallery, historic buildings

We are Grandparents to three boys.
David was a business manager and we are now both retired.
We love God and love people.
We love to travel and experience the joy of living in a lovely village or a vibrant city. Now that we are retired we are open to any type of exchange. We would love to do long term reciprocal or non reciprocal exchange and are open to most places. Public transport is essential on long term exchanges.
We have been members on another site for 6 years and have had many exchangers with great reviews.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
