General overview

Spacious and comfortable, our home offers enough room for families to be together (and apart!). This house is in an excellent walkable neighborhood with parks, restaurants, and stores all in walking distance. The space

Our home is 2,220 sq ft. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 living areas and an office with a pull out couch that can serve as a 4th place to sle. Plenty of space for everyone! We have a small backyard with a patio and grill to enjoy the warm summer evenings. Our home is tidy, but with plenty of books, games and knick knacks to keep it interesting.

Guest access

Our home is 2 stories. 1st floor has the kitchen/eating area, master bedroom with full bath, large living room, office, front sitting room and a half bath. Upstairs is 2 more bedrooms, a living area and full bath. You'll have access to everything except the master bedroom closet.

Notes

Our location is a great launching spot for exploring Austin. See the largest Urban bat colony in the US flying out nightly in the summer from the Congress street bridget (only a few miles from our home), while you're there, rent a kayak, stand up paddle board or small boat and take a tour of Lady Bird Lake. Go swimming in Barton Springs, a cool 65-70 degrees all year round, enjoy some local music on Red River Street, take a tour of the Texas State Capitol building or nearby museums on the University of Texas campus.

Neighbourhood

You'll have access to two neighborhood pools. One of them is 2 blocks from our house. Walking/biking paths surround the neighborhood with 2 lakes for bird watching.

Getting to my home

Acccess to our home is easiest by car. There are also several bus routes within easy access, but they can be a time consuming trip if you want to go anywhere besides Downtown or the Capitol area.

Nearest airport

Austin Bergstrom International Airport is 7 miles away. A short 15-20 minute drive. $25 by ride share or taxi.

Getting around

We are walkable to a large grocery store (HEB, a Texas favorite) as well as a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and movie theatre. Our neighborhood hosts a farmer's market every Sunday from 10am-2pm and there are many community activities occuring in the nearby parks, especially on the weekends.
