General Overview
Our Zone 1 Central London flat is conveniently located in Islington, just North of the City of London. Embedded in the young and arty vibe of Noth-East London it offers easy access to all of London's attractions. We love the surprisingly quiet courtyard of our South facing bright flat.
The Space
The quiet apartment has 65 sqm, 1 bedroom and a large open plan kitchen/living room with a futon, which can be used as a sofa or a second bed. The flat is ideal for a couple, but could accommodate a small family or 2 couples.
It is bright, south facing towards a quiet, traffic free communal courtyard with some greenery.
We have redecorated the flat in 2025 with wood flooring and painted it in warm colours.
The furniture is hand carpented in Scandi style by local makers from Lozi desgin.
Guest Access
The flat is on the 3rd floor of a modern building with elevator access.. The in total 25 apartments over 4 floors are mainly occupied by young people.
Notes
Public rosemary gardens is 100 yards away and Shoreditch Park as well as Regent Canal are a 5 minutes walk.

Neighbourhood
The flat is in Islington, bordering on Hackney. Our area around Shoreditch Park is the youngest borough in London; cafés, pubs, bars, restaurants, markets, cinemas, galleries, delis, artisan bakeries and night clubs are in walking distance. All the main London sights, theatres , museums are easily accessible with our bikes or short trips on various lines of public transport.
Getting to my home
Liverpool Street station is 15 minutes by bus or 10 by Uber. From Liverpool Street station you can get the Stansted Express train to Stansted airport and the brand new Elisabeth line directly to Heathrow airport. The direct train to Gatwick airport is a 25 minutes bus ride away from London Bridge station. 2 bus lines stop in front of the building (141 towards London Bridge and 76 to Waterloo station). The metro stations Haggerston, Angel, Old Street, Dalston, Highbury & Islington are 10 to 25 minutes on foot. away. Various other buses stop nearby going directly to the West End, St. Pancras Eurostar and Kings Cross in under 30 minutes.

Getting Around
We are surrounded by public transport in all directions. The nearest tube station is Haggerston, which is 10 minutes walking distance.
We have 2 bikes available and good bike lanes from our building in all directions. London has become a cycling city in recent years with lots of save routes. Stefan and Ulli
Both of us are into cultural activities, good food, nature, cycling and hiking, among many other things. We are a teacher and an economist and love London for its diversity. We like travelling to really experience other places; cities and countryside alike.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
