Neighbourhood
We are the only people that live in the village all year but the neighbours come at the weekend and on holiday. Situated between two national parks, Ordesa to the north in the high mountains, and the Sierra de Guara to the south in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
A car is needed.Nice walks, bikes, canyoning..
Close to Ordesa National park And the Guara.
Quiet , 1h from France.
It is situated in a small village where we are alone during the school year, neighbourgs come at the week end and during holidays.
You can use our bikes!
There are a lot of walks and swimming to do.
In the village, there is a small river with a natural pool , ( 15-20 min walking) by car if high enough 5 min, otherwise by the road 10 min ( maybe the best otion if you have small kids)
We love walking down the river, ( not too much water).
There is a swimming pool 10 min away by car with activities for kids ,there you will also find a lake

to give you an idea of the landscape around.
There are rivers not far, swimming spots in Ainsa, BoltaΓ±a and in the mountain...... an hour drive to the high mountain (National Park of Ordesa) but there are a lot of things to see closer .
In the south, The Sierra de Guara with the village of βAlquezarβ 30 minutes for example. https://www.lospueblosmasbonitosdeespana.org/aragon/alquezar
a lot of other small villages closer, less famous but cute.
You will find more information and maps in the house on arrival.
Getting around
30 minutes to the closest shop/town/petrol station

Virginie's house is welcoming and decorated very creatively. It is quiet isolated, however, 30 minutes across some poor roads to shops and fuel.
Virginie's house is really beautiful, restored with great taste and inventiveness. It is also spacious and very comfortable. We really enjoyed taking care of the cats and the garden. The village of Mondot has a lot of character, staying there is a real journey back in time. The village's natural swimming pool and its waterfall were such a joy in the summer heatwave! The region offers many hikes, lakes, gorges, rivers and several magnificent restored villages. Virginie communicated very often with us, to give us instructions on the house or tourist recommendations, she was on the other side of the world but very understanding, responsive and efficient when we forgot things at her place when we left. We are very grateful to her. Thank you again for this exchange in this beautiful part of Spain!
A beautiful stone and wood house, with all the comforts, in a beautiful and quiet village. At night the silence is absolute. Very well located to get to know the Sobrarbe region, full of beautiful small towns with interesting popular architecture. Also one step away from the high mountains and France
Virginie communicated well with us during this exchange and was helpful in facilitating a pick-up from our apartment. We also organised our return exchange in Spain relatively easily. We are still in Europe so cannot comment further.
Communication with Virginie was always clear and quick. We have not yet returned to our apartment since Virginie's family visited.
Virginie and her group were great exchangers. They took very good care of our home and pampered our cats. There was great communication throughout whole exchange. She is very easy going, thoughtful and responsible. I would not hesitate to host her and her family again.

Virginie and I never actually met in person. But by the time they left our home, she felt like an old friend. We loved being able to host her and her family. They really took care of our home and they have the true spirit of home exchangers in every way - understanding how much more it can be than just accommodation. Communication with her was so easy and we are so happy that they loved Amsterdam!
Marina and her family took great care of our house and our animals . We had a good comunication and she is welcome anytime. I hope to meet them one day.
We had such a wonderful time at Charo's !
A very confortable house, it is very big, many confortable beds, all what you need, close to a very nice park, free swimming pool , the bus to downtown just at the end of the street , easy !
I wish we had met Charo and her family, she is so welcoming and caring .
The cats are easy maintenance and very sweet .
We couldn't dream of a better first exchange on PLU ! Jessica is the perfect host, she is so kind and I felt that she was receiving friends from the very start. I wish we had been able to meet , but that will be next time !
Perfect house, clean and confortable, very well situated with easy access to the city center, we absolutely loved Amsterdam and going by bike everywhere. Thanks again !
You are very welcome, we loved having you as a guest and weβre honored to be your first PLU experience! Hope you see you in Spain or Amsterdam sometime :)
