Welcome to our home located on the North Shore in Chattanooga TN. We live in a sought-after neighborhood (neighborhood has a park, restaurants and shops 5- 10 minute walk from our home). A 1 Mile drive or bike ride gets you to downtown, or the Tennessee Riverwalk.
Chattanooga’s surrounding landscape makes it a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. mountain biking (or climbing and repelling), hiking, paddling, river rafting, boating, and hang gliding are all available just a short drive from our home. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, take the adventure inside at High Point Climbing and Fitness, local museums, and the Tennessee Aquarium. Outdoor magazine twice voted Chattanooga “Best Town Ever”. Offering local whiskey and craft beers, fantastic locally owned restaurants, Lookout Mountain Incline Railway and Rock City, and of course the Chattanooga Choo Choo.
Our home is just a mile from the Tennessee Riverwalk offering 15 miles of multi-use trail and boardwalk which then connects to the and South Chickamauga Creek Greenway, which has another 13 miles of paved greenway.
Atlanta and Nashville are just 2 hours' drive. Ocoee (site of the Olympics white water events) and Hiwassee (for the fly fishing) rivers are both an hour’s drive.

Shelly & Bob
We are Shelly & Bob Elliott. We are youthful empty nesters with our 5 children either grown or in university. Bob is a semi-retired real-estate developer and Shelly is a semi-retired business consultant. We have a passion for travel and are excited to see if we can connect with some "people like us" who would be interested in exploring our amazing city!
We usually are traveling just the two of us, but occasionally it may be the two of us plus two of our adult children.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
