General overview

We have a 1950's bungalo in East Vancouver which has been updated and refreshed to suit us as a retired couple. We have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - suitable for two couples or perhaps a family of 3

The space

The two spacious bedrooms each have a queen bed. Both bathrooms are 3-piece each with a shower - sorry no bathtub.

We live a quiet residential neighborhood with a restaurant and some shops just a few minutes walk away.

Nearest airport

Vancouver airport (YVR) is a 30 minute drive away depending on time of day.

Getting around

We are a 10-12 minute walk from the Joyce SkyTrain station which provides rapid transit access to the heart of Vancouver. Our house is less than 30 minutes drive to 3 local ski hills; 2 h ours drive to Whistler ski area;and 2 hours drive to Manning Park - a great cross country ski locationen. In summer and fall these areas are great for hiking.

John

We are a retired couple ready to see more of Europe and America. John is a retired Telecommunications Engineer and Laifung is retired from Corporate Capital Management. We have most of our renovation and upgrade projects done and we are finally getting away on long vacations. We enjoy time away for weeks at a time at our cabin and on roadtrips in our campervan. It seems a shame that our house in Vancouver sits empty while we are away and so home exchange, sim or non-sim, make great sense. We like the 'slow' vacation style and prefer to settle in for longer stays so we can take in the local culture and explore the nearby sights by walking and hiking. Being retired we are flexible on dates and locations and we are open to 'last minute' exchanges
