General overview

Welcome to our home! Our kids have left the nest, and we have downsized into a lovely 2 bedroom condo on the 9th floor of a 12 story apartment building just on the cusp of Vancouver. Our home is easy-care and minimalist. We may ask you to water a couple of plants, but that's about it. (And if they don't survive, we're not worried!) Although we don't have our own kids at home anymore, kids are welcome here. Our large master bedroom has a queen size bed and also a comfy reading chair with a view of the North Shore mountains. The second bedroom has an in-home office setup and a double Murphy bed. Both bedrooms have sliding glass doors that open onto our extra long balcony (10' x 30') with stunning views of everything iconic Vancouver. The bathroom (bath, shower, toilet, sink) can be entered via the hallway or the main bedroom. Our kitchen is small but super functional and opens onto the open dining/living room that flows out onto the balcony through double sliding glass doors. Our dining table expands to seat 6. The living room is comfy. From the L-shaped couch you can either sit looking out at the view or watching the 55" smart TV. We have bonuses! - a 4-wheel drive Toyota Hiace van with a builtin bed and including camping gear if you want to take off on overnight road trips or experience Canada's world-famous camping! - a 250cc vespa motor scooter for scooting around the city. - a 250 C class mercedes - great for driving up to Whistler on the Sea-to-Sky highway! - 3 bikes: 1 x adult full suspension mountain bike, 2 x adult road bikes

Dana

Hi, we are Dana and Andrey, two adventure-seeking 50+'ers experiencing our empty-nester years. We've downsized into an easy-care minimalist apartment in an excellent location for Vancouver and all the surrounds. We have just registered for PLU and are keen to book our first travels and guests. We lived in Australia for 14+ years and Dana's parents would arrange a home exchange and come to visit for about 6 weeks every year, so we certainly aren't new to the concept. We travel every winter from about mid-November to the beginning of January, and we are seeking sunshine and beaches in unique locations from rustic to luxury. We love immersing ourselves in new cultures, trying new foods, and attempting to learn new languages.
