What can I say about Florence ? Cradle of art, culture and beauty, birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, destination for million of tourists every year.
And thanks to its central position, Florence could be also the starting point for daily trips to other famous Tuscany cities such as Pisa, Lucca, Arezzo Siena, Cinque Terre.
Due to a high speed train line, also Rome - 1.30 hour trip - or Venice - 2 hours- are possible destinations.
Our apartment is close to the historical center, reacheable by public transportation in 10 mins (4 mins frequency). The railway station is also at 10 mins distance.
We suggest our home to whom that wish to visit the beautiful spots of Florence historical center but also stroll around the other wonderful places in Tuscany (Lucca, Siena, Pisa, Chianti ...) by car,
Der Raum
Our home is a big apartment, in Italian standard (140 sq mt) at ground floor of a building with other 10 families, in the property of our family since 1953, totally renovated in 2015 to realize two units.
The main apartment, where we live, consists of a spacious living room on which opens a big full equipped kitchen with the door to the garden, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed; the other bedroom is the room of our youngest daughter, organized as an office with a loft double bed and its own bathroom. This bedroom is perfect for hospitality, too.
The garden of about 50 sqmt is furnished by sofa and armchairs, dining table, BBQ, deckchairs, seasonal flowers and all to make it pleasant to spend time there during warm seasons.
The garden is divided by a fence from the parking space with a garage for one car and slots for other two cars.
The 2nd apartment, consists of a living room with a perfectly equipped kitchenette, one bedroom with a double bed and the bathroom with a shower. In the living room there is a sofa bed for one person. This apartment has not direct access to the garden.
All the rooms are air conditioned.
Private WiFi everywhere in the apartment an in the garden.
We exchange one of the two apartments depending on your needs and our availability.

The neighbourhood is a typical italian neighbourhood, where Florentines works and lives.
The apartment is located in one of the most important district of the metropolitan city of Florence, the Rifredi quartier. Here is located the main hospital of Florence, Careggi, three University campus for medical, scientific and political discipline, the "Piazza Dalmazia" outdoor shopping mall, supermarket, banks etc.; but also the smooth hills where is possible to visit the Medici countryside villas or to eat in one of the many restaurant located in the small villages faced to Firenze; or the Stibbert museum, with one of the most important collection of antique armor in the world.
In addition of the classic touristic tours, you'll be able to live the real life of Florentines people.
In spite of the difficulty of parking in this populated area, our private parking space in the garden, will allow you to use a car to visit the countryside and other tuscan cities: Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Arezzo, Cinque Terre.
Zu mir nach Hause kommen
You can arrive to Florence airport. Tramway T2 line, from the airport to the city center, change at the Railway Station Santa Maria Novella and from here T1 line direction Careggi, to the home. about 25 mins travel.
If you arrive to a more important airport (Rome or Milan) you can take the train to Florence (1.15 mins high velocity train from Rome, 1,30 from Milan) and from Florence Railway Station take the Tramway line T1 direction Careggi, 5 stops, 10 mins.

The apartment is strategically positioned close to the historical center of Florence reacheable by the new tramvia/TramWay public transportation system, starting from "Pisacane" stop, 200 mt from the apartment and getting to Santa Maria Novella in the city center with 5 stops and a 9 mins run.
In the northern part of the city, it is easy to reach from the airport (by taxi or public transportation), from the A1 highway by car, or from the railways station of Santa Maria Novella with the TramWay line 1 4 mins frequency from 5 am to 0.30 am (2.30 am on holidays).
