A family friendly three bedroom flat in an apartment building that counts four stories and seven apartments.
The aparment has tree bedrooms, and one bathroom with a washing machine and a shower.
The living room has a smart TV, PS3, Google Chromecast, a comfortable sofa and a dining table for up to 6 people.
The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a feast with all the usual kitchen tools along with a coffee machine, microwave and a dishwasher. There is also a seating area that seats 3-4 comfortably.
The balcony faces south-east. It is screened and its windows can be opened fully for sunbathing and fresh air.
The building has two entrances. The main entrance is on the first floor so guest don't have to walk any stairs, which can be a bonus for some, however the parking lot is located ca 150 m away from the entrance. The back entrance is through the basement and it leads through the common area where the laundry area is located.
The apartment is situated in a quiet neighborhood with a blend of apartmentbuildings, townhouses and villas.
Lots of walking and cycling paths lead to hidden playgrounds and wonderful green areas.
Nearby there is a small shopping and service center called Mjóddin where you can find a cinema, pharmacy, supermarket, postoffice, bakery, flowershop and some fastfood options.
It also has a bus terminal with good connections to all areas in the city and other parts of Iceland as well. Because of this the restaurants, cafés, nightlife, museums and shopping of downtown Reykjavík are easily accessible even though the neighbourhood is far from downtown.
If you are interested in shopping there is a shopping mall, Smaralind, only 2 km away.
Nearby there are severeal wonderful outdoor areas, some within walking distance land others within easy cycling/driving distance. For further info see the links in notes. Árbæjarsafn open air museum is also nearby.
I also recommend you try out the two very nice outdoor pools that are in the area (geothermally heated and warm all year round, both with multiple hot jacuzzis).
Easy access by bus, routes 2, 12 and 4 stop close by and connect to the bus terminal in the service center in Mjodd.

Member description
I'm a former teacher, but am now a quality- and records manager for an Insurance company here in Iceland. I like traveling and find it is the best way to make beautiful memories with my family and friends and that is very important to me.
I am looking to makie exchanges in 2021 and 2022 with a traveling group 2-3 adults and 2-3 teenagers.
I promise to take very good care of your home and will try and leave it as good or even better than you left it, and of course expect the same from any exchange.
