General overview
Our house is located in a residential neighborhood that has the advantage of being close to Vedado (20 minutes walking) and at the same time enjoying the tranquility of a small neighborhood.
The space
The house has two rooms ready to rest, as well as a work table in each room. The main room has air conditioning and the second has a fan, in case you need it during the Cuban summer.
The third room has been converted into a TV room and is the space that Ama has dedicated to her small ceramics workshop, her hobby.
On the upper floor, in addition to the three bedrooms, there is a bathroom with a bathtub and closets where towels are stored. And there is also a small terrace where we regularly hang the washed clothes.
Guest access
The entrance to the house is through a few steps. Inside, between the first and second floors there is a staircase that gives access to the rooms (as shown in the photos).

Neighbourhood
Nuevo Vedado is known for its calm and relaxed atmosphere, which contrasts with the bustle of downtown Havana. This makes it an ideal location for travelers looking to escape the frenetic pace and experience the authenticity of neighborhood life.
Nuevo Vedado is an open-air museum of modern Cuban architecture. The houses and buildings were built between the 1950s and 1960s.
The neighborhood is located in the western part of Havana, near the Almendares River. In Nuevo Vedado there are several tourist attractions of the city: the Havana Forest (ideal for walks and outdoor activities), the Plaza de la Revolución (one of the most emblematic places in Havana). The Cuban Art Factory, although it does not belong to NV, is located nearby and is a meeting point for artists and art lovers.
Getting to my home
The best way to get to the house is by taxi, at the airport you will always find taxis available.
Nearest airport
Havana International Airport is 30 minutes by car from the house.

Ama et Ale
We are professors and researchers at the University of Havana, Ama (linguist) and Ale (theoretical physicist). We speak English, French, Italian and Spanish. We have been doing house exchanges through other platforms for more than 10 years, in addition to receiving many travelers in the different places where we have lived.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
