After our 3 weeks in Spain we returned to Susan and Rick for another hospitality stay in their new house. We are so grateful that they made time to pick us up from the airport and prepared a wonderful breakfast the next morning before we got on the road to drive home. The new house is beautiful, in a very quiet small village. It's amazing that completely strangers became dear friends in such a short time. I hope they will visit us again once we moved to Spain later this year.

After spending some time with us in our house we drove to Susan and Rick's house in Georgia. They were so welcoming. After a restful night they drove us around to show us the beautiful neighborhood where they live and dropped us off at the Atlanta Airport for our trip. We are so blessed that we met them, they are wonderful new friends Looking forward to seeing them again when we return from our trip.

I spent a wonderful long weekend with family friends at Susan's home in Fayetteville, GA. The house is much larger than it appears from the road! Our group consisted of three adults and three children, ages 9, 13, and 16 and there was plenty of space for us to be together and not feel like we were on top of one another. We loved looking out the kitchen windows and watching the birds come to the feeders. We had a fabulous time in Atlanta, visiting the Museum of Illusions (a must see!) and wandering around that adorable downtown area. We also spent a day at the Atlanta Aquarium, which was enormous and so fascinating! Susan was a great host and was always reachable to answer any questions. We spoke on the phone a couple of times prior to the exchange, and she was pleasant and fun to get to know. And I discovered that her grandkids call her Gigi, just like mine do!

Very comfortable home with beautiful views of the surrounding woods. Clean and cozy with a wonderful collection of books about hiking and local attractions. A heard of 10 dear came by to say hello while we sipped coffee on the balcony of the master bedroom. Slipping into the jacuzzi tub after a day of hiking was heavenly. Loved curling up by the fireplace to read in the evening and plan the next day’s adventure. The kitchen was easy to work in and had freshly sharpened knives for safe food prep.

What a treat it was staying at the home of Rick and Susan. After a day of hiking and exploring it was wonderful to get back “home” to enjoy the many comforts of their home, such as the hot tub and sauna. If you didn’t want to venture out too far, there were plenty of trails and things to see and do right in the development. We really enjoyed feeding the deer every day.
