Neighbourhood

Las Ballenas is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Las Terrenas as it is a quiet residential neighborhood with many expats living in the area. You might hear music if you are staying during Dominican holidays.

Nearest airport

El Catey International Airport is located half an hour away from our home. Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo is an hour and a half away from the villa via the Tourist Atlantic Boulevard (BTA) highway.

Getting around

We are within walking distance of the village, but being that is the Caribbean, and hot, we recommend some form of transportation. A rental car is ideal as it allows one to visit other beaches and attractions. There are also places to rent scooters and four-wheelers as well as taxis and "motoconchos" (Basically, private motorcycles that transport people for a fee.)
