Nearest airport

El Catey International Airport is located half an hour away from our home. Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo is an hour and a half away from the villa via the Tourist Atlantic Boulevard (BTA) highway.

Getting around

We are within walking distance of the village, but being that is the Caribbean, and hot, we recommend some form of transportation. A rental car is ideal as it allows one to visit other beaches and attractions. There are also places to rent scooters and four-wheelers as well as taxis and "motoconchos" (Basically, private motorcycles that transport people for a fee.)

Feedback

  • We have a great relationship with Nora as we both navigate having home exchanges and rentals on the same island. This was our second visit to their home and we feel very comfortable there. It is quiet and offers solace while also being quick walking distance to the beach and town. We are so grateful to Nora for hosting us not once, but twice, and we highly recommend her as an exchange partner.
