Neighbourhood
Montalvao neighborhood is a nice and generally quite area. (Note, barking dogs are a thing in Portugal, but overall the neighborhood is quite) We are close to 3 main parks and 15 -20 min walk from the historical city center. Grocery store is close by, along with traditional Portuguise bakery, supermercado and pharmacies.

Getting Around
Walking is the preferred mode of transport. But car rental and car share rides are readily available and affordable.
If you want to visit Lisbon you can take the train and ferry quite easily too.
