General overview
We live in a charming apartment located in Seine-Maritime in Normandy in the North-West of France.
More specifically, we live in Gonneville-la-Mallet, a small town with just under 2,000 inhabitants.
The sea is very close (10 min by car) and you can reach it by visiting the villages of Saint-Jouin-Bruneval, Le Tilleul or Etretat which is world famous!
The nearest big city is Le Havre with UNESCO classification which is 20-25 minutes by car.
You can also visit the picturesque town of Honfleur and its port (35 min by car) or Deauville in just under an hour ;)
For history buffs, the landing beaches of the Second World War are accessible in a little less than 2 hours! Tom is a great World War II enthusiast, he will be delighted to share his passion with you;)
If you want to visit our beautiful capital Paris, you can access it in 2-3 hours by car or train.
Nous vivons dans un charmant appartement situé en Seine-Maritime en Normandie dans le Nord-Ouest de la France.
Plus précisément, nous habitons à Gonneville-la-Mallet, une petite ville avec un peu moins de 2000 habitants.
La mer est très proche (10 min en voiture) et vous pourrez y accéder en visitant les villages de Saint-Jouin-Bruneval, Le Tilleul ou encore Etretat qui est mondialement connu !
La plus grosse ville la plus proche est Le Havre dont le centre-ville est inscrit au Patrimoine Mondial de l'UNESCO et qui est situé à 20-25 minutes en voiture.
Vous pourrez également visitez si vous le souhaitez la pittoresque ville d'Honfleur et son port (35 min en voiture) ou encore Deauville en un peu moins d'une heure ;)
Pour les passionnés d'Histoire, les plages du débarquement de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale sont accessibles en un peu moins de 2 heures ! Tom est un grand passionné de la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, il sera ravi de partager sa passion avec vous ;)
Si vous voulez visitez notre belle capitale Paris, vous pouvez y accéder en 2-3 heures de voiture ou train.
The space
You will enjoy our bright, modern and functional apartment located in the center of the village.
The apartment consists of an open kitchen and a living room, one bedroom, a bathroom and separate toilet.
The place is ideal for a couple or for 3 people maximum.
We do not prefer to welcome other animals but we will be, however, very enthusiastic to take care of them at your home ;).
We also have a small closed room in the outdoor courtyard where we store our bikes that you could use!
We are located not very far from the church so you will sometimes hear the sound of its bells.
Vous pourrez profiter de notre appartement lumineux, moderne et fonctionnel situé au centre du village.
L'appartement est composé d'une cuisine ouverte et un salon, une chambre, une salle de bain et des WC séparés.
Le lieu est idéal pour un couple ou pour 3 personnes maximum.
Nous ne préférons pas accueillir d'autres animaux mais nous serons par contre, très enthousiastes de s'occuper d'eux chez vous ;).
Nous avons également un petit local fermé dans la courette extérieure où nous rangeons nos vélos !
Nous sommes situés pas très loin de l'église donc vous serez amenés à entendre parfois le son de ses cloches.
Guest access
The flat is located on the second and last floor of a small apartment building.
L'appartement est situé au deuxième et dernier étage d'un petit immeuble d'habitation.
Notes
A market is held every Wednesday morning on the village square. You will only have to come down from the apartment to enjoy and taste our good French products!!
For the sellers to be able to settle down, it is necessary to not park on the square the day before that is to say on Tuesday evening (in case of forgetting, the car will be removed !).
However, you can park the car on the square every other day if you wish;)
Un marché a lieu tous les mercredi matins sur la place du village. Vous n'aurez qu'a descendre de l'appartement pour en profiter et goûter à nos bons produits français !!
Pour que les vendeurs puissent s'installer, il faut bien penser à ne pas se garer sur la place la veille c'est-à-dire le mardi soir (en cas d'oubli, la voiture sera enlevée).
Par contre, vous pourrez garer la voiture sur la place tous les autres jours si vous le souhaitez ;)

Neighbourhood
The central area is very lively and you can walk to various shops: pharmacy, post office, wine shop, butcher shop, fish shop, two bakeries, a tobacco/bar, two hairdressers, a beauty salon, a delicious pizzeria, a greengrocer and a Carrefour store.
We even have a doctor as a neighbor!
Gonneville-la-Mallet is a small town appreciated by its inhabitants!
Le quartier central est très vivant et vous pourrez vous rendre à pieds dans différents commerces : pharmacie, poste, caviste, boucherie, poissonnerie, deux boulangeries, un bar-tabac, deux coiffeurs, un institut de beauté, une délicieuse pizzeria, un primeur et un magasin Carrefour.
Nous avons même un médecin en tant que voisine !
Gonneville-la-Mallet est une petite ville appréciée par ses habitants !
Getting to my home
From Paris:
If you come by plane, you will arrive at Orly or Charles de Gaulle airports.
You can then take the train from Saint-Lazare station to Le Havre (2h).
You can also take the bus: https://www.flixbus.fr/
The nearest regional airports are Octeville and Deauville.
From UK you can take the ferry directly to Le Havre or Dieppe.
De Paris:
Si vous venez en avion, vous arriverez aux aéroports Orly ou Charles de Gaulle.
Vous pouvez ensuite prendre le train à la gare Saint-Lazare jusqu'au Havre (2h).
Vous pouvez aussi prendre le car : https://www.flixbus.fr/
Les aéroports régionaux les plus proches sont ceux d'Octeville et de Deauville.
Du Royaume-Uni, vous pouvez prendre le ferry directement pour Le Havre ou Dieppe.

Getting around
As mentioned above, you can walk to all the shops in the village.
However,you will need a car to get out of the village and discover our beautiful region! :) A car exchange can be considered.
Comme nous l'avons dit plus haut, vous pouvez accéder à pieds à tous les magasins du village.
Il vous faudra par contre une voiture pour sortir du village et découvrir notre belle région ! :) Un échange de voiture peut s'envisager.
