General overview
Welcome to our spacious and comfortable family home. We are a retired couple who enjoy relaxing in the house and garden, and cooling down in the pool in our sub-tropical climate The garden is very private and tropical, and has plenty of outdoor entertaining space, an outdoor lounge room and a pool-side deck for sun-bathing.
The space
Our house is cool and comfortable in the summer with through breezes, ceiling fans, and air conditioning if/when needed. It's cosy in winter (although it never gets that cold!) and we have a small wood burner for the cool evenings. All doors and windows have bug screens.
There are four comfortable double bedrooms. The master bedroom at the rear of the home has a walk-in robe, en-suite shower room and sliding doors directly onto the large back deck, with views over the garden and pool.
There is a large family bathroom with spacious shower and a spa bath. The well equipped kitchen has a large window overlooking the garden, and is open plan to the family day room. There is a large gas range with 2 electric ovens available. Large fridge freezer and dishwasher. The adjacent lounge has a dining area attached.
There is plently of outdoor space around the home, with a large and tropical back garden with well established exotic native plants. The pool is fully fenced, with a sunbathing/sitting deck to one end. There is also a cubby house for the kids.
Guest access
One step to access the home at the front door, but level access via the garage. Level throughout. No internal stairs/steps.

Neighbourhood
Thornlands is a suburb to the south of Brisbane, very close to Cleveland which has excellent train links into the centre of Brisbane. The train takes about 1 hour to the CBD. There are lots of local bars, cafes and restuarants on the waterfront in Cleveland. There are plently of local shops for grocery shopping in both Cleveland and nearby Victoria Point.
You can get the ferry from Cleveland to North Stradbroke Island, which is an incredibly beautiful Island with amazing wildlife and beaches. It's possible to stay on the Island, and is very popular with visitors for the white sand beach, crystal clear water and abundance of animal and marine life. There is a scuba diving business on the Island - highly recommend the diving!
There's so much to see and do in Brisbane, the 'River City'. The SouthBank parklands has lots of family entertainment including 'city beach'.
Getting to my home
The house is easy to find and accessible by car or public transport. There is bus stop 5 minutes away, and the train station in Cleveland is a 10 minute drive.
Nearest airport
Brisbane International airport is a 35 minute drive away.
Getting around
Nearest shops are in Cleveland or Victoria Point - both about 10 minutes drive.
