General overview
A cosy, renovated house with room for 13 people in the middle of the Swedish wilderness with beautiful nature all year around and only 5 minutes away from Branäs ski-resort, the river Klarelven and swimming opportunities

The space
Our house was built in 1920 and had the function of telegraph station covering the valley. After we bought the house in 2009, we totally renovated everything. Every holiday we have spent in Sweden since that time.
In 2016 we got introduced to home exchange and tried it for the first time. It was so giving and exiting – every summer we are now looking for a family who wants to swap with us for 3 weeks in July (week 29, 30 and 31). It could also be non-simultaneous. We only use the house when the kids are off school.
On the ground floor the house has one bedroom with a double bed, a toilet with a shower, a big fully equipped kitchen with all amenties and a big living room with fireplace and TV.
On the first floor the house has a living room with TV, two bedrooms with double beds, one bedroom with 3 bunkbeds corresponding to 6 adult beds and a small room with one bed.
In the basement there is an extra toilet.
A nice terrace is surrounding the house and you will always be able to find a place to sit in the sun somewhere. We love swimming in the river the whole year. It is cold but fantastic :-)
Guest access
Three storey house with own big parking space. There is a path from the parking space to the front door of the house. There are stairs with 6 steps up to the front door. In the house there are stairs to first floor and down to the basement.
Notes
If you want to visit both Denmark and Sweden you could stay in our house in Denmark first before going to Sweden. If we go to your place for 3 weeks in July 2019 from the 14th of July until 3rd of August you could stay here for 1, 2 or 3 weeks before going to Sweden for 1, 2 og 3 weeks :-)
We do not have a cleaner in Sweden nor in Denmark. We will treat your home as if it was our own. And we will leave it totally clean in every way. We believe and expect that you will do the same - it is always so great to get back home to a clean house that has been taking good care of :-)

Neighbourhood
A natural gem in the Swedish wilderness
Located in the middle of the Värmland forests and surrounded by mountains and lakes, is Branäs a treasure in the middle of the Swedish wilderness.
It is a perfect starting point for such as swimming, hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking and canoeing - or how about a beaver or moose safari?
Branäs has one of the most beautiful mountains in the whole of southern Sweden, namely Branäsberget at 567 meters, one of Sweden's only two gondola lifts also available. There are cross-country ski runs and downhill skiing.
You can also find the mountain “Långberget”, which is 630 meters high, only about 15-minute drive from Branäs. From there you can also do cross-country skiing or go hiking (there are many trails in the area).
Getting around
You need a car. We always bring our own car from Denmark. The local supermarkets are either 6 kilometers away (Likenäs) or 9 kilometers away (Sysslebäck). You can drive in your car to the ski resort in Branäs (down hill skiing) in 5 minutes. Do you want to do cross-country skiing you can take your car to the top of either Branäs (10 minutes) or go further to Långberget (15 minutes). Hiking is what we love. We just go outside and start walking from the house :-)
