Neighbourhood

Welcome to the Chemin du Soleil, our little corner of paradise located in the heart of the beautiful nature of Lanaudière (Matawinie), only 1 hour and 30 minutes from Montreal. Our cottage is our cocoon, simple and cozy, nestled on the shores of Lake Galarneau, a swimmable lake without a motor, which easily becomes an ice rink in winter. It's the perfect place to disconnect, listen to the silence and live an authentic Quebec experience. We spend almost all our weekends there in the company of our two cuddly and quiet little kitties (a lifestyle habit that we have cherished since the pandemic). The chalet is therefore a greatly loved place, particularly warm, clean and perfectly equipped for the comfort of each person. Local life and amenities The village (nearby): Notre-Dame-la-Merci offers a charming stop with its municipal trails and its beach on the Dufresne River. Saint-Donat (15 min): A warm and lively village with its local microbrewery, artisanal bakeries, cafes and local shops. Whether you come to recharge your batteries in summer or for the magic of a winter by the fire, our corner of paradise at the Chemin du Soleil guarantees you a rejuvenating stay in perfect harmony with nature.

In Saint-Donat (15 minutes away): This is the main hub where you will find two supermarkets, an SAQ branch (wines and spirits), pharmacies, artisanal bakeries and a nice variety of restaurants and cafes. Towards Chertsey (18 minutes): If you arrive from the south, supermarket to do big errands before arriving at the chalet.

We are always looking for an exchange in the sun of about 2 weeks at Christmas times (propose!). Note that we have two quiet kitties. Looking forward to talking! - Hello! We are a family of 4 and our two boys are 17 and 19 years old. We love the exchanges that have become our philosophy for more than 15 years, once or twice a year. We appreciate reciprocal exchanges, but any type of exchange is possible.
