I would like to help PLU visitors know to my community and state. Since I am retired, I can with help local information and recommendations, a place to transfer keys, meet for a drink, etc. Just let me know how I can help you enjoy your stay in Colorado, as well as support PLU other homes in Colorado.
We had a great stay at Geraldine's house. We are so grateful as this gave us the opportunity to explore Denver and the surrounding area. Her home was cozy and so clean. We had an unforgettable visit to Colorado and I can't thank her enough for making us feel so comfortable and welcome. She did everything to make sure we had the best, gave us good advice and took us on a great drive. She is lovely and a great host. Many thanks for us. I hope that she and her daughter will visit us in Iceland someday.
Thank you so much for choosing my home! It was great meeting you both! Danni, I wish we could have more conversations . Despite the language challenge, I loved wonderful sense of humor that transcends words!! And Erna, you are fun and enjoyable guest, and truly an amazing organizer of a wonderful adventure .I enjoyed our day on the mountains. Best wishes to you!
Gerri has a beautiful, comfortable and spacious home in a lovely quiet area of Littleton. She is the most generous and interesting lady, full of energy and kindness. I was fortunate to join in her Nia class which was such a treat as I do Nia at home. Gerri welcomed us with the most delicious Italian feast and then proceeded to spoil us by driving us to see the Red Rocks and all the way up Mt Evans. What an amazing experience that was, with 360 degree views, feeling the effects of altitude for the first time and then hiking through the bristlecone pines on the way down.
Gerri was incredibly kind to drive us across the city back to where we were staying.
Thank you Gerri for your amazing hospitality and lovely chats. You're a perfect PLU member and you even gave me a precious PLU key ring! We hope to see you back in NZ one day to return the hospitality.
❤️❤️❤️❤️Loved having you here! Thank You for stopping here! We had great conversations and I enjoyed having you at my home. I hope we visit again in the future! Have an awesome trip across western US!
Gerri and her friend stayed at our condo while we were in Australia. They were great guests and treated our home perfectly. Communication was seamless. Gerri also sent us pictures of her Vancouver Island adventures while she was staying at place. It gave us a taste of home away from home and we loved it.
Our clothes dryer broke down but she took the problem in stride and she was fine using our drying rack instead. We appreciated her understanding as it helped us avoid a big repair bill by a service rep (Les was able to repair it himself within a day of our return for just the cost of parts). We came home to a spotlessly clean home after our own adventures. So nice. Thanks Gerri!
Gerri only stayed a few days to attend a wedding in Palm Springs and did little more than sleep at our place as a result. Hopefully, we'll stop by in Denver some time and get to meet her.
It's good to help out a fellow PLUer in this way and Gerri was very appreciative. I hope other PLU members develop a taste for short stays like this so that we can all travel more and use AirBNB less!
Thanks so much for your lovely gift, for leaving the Beach House sparkling - and for being so delightful to deal with 🧡🍀
Geraldine was a great guest at our home. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to meet. She communicated her plans to us and let us know when she arrived and left. The house was left spotless even though Geraldine had agreed to a cleaner at the end of her stay. Would have no hesitation in letting Geraldine stay again if she returns to New Zealand.
Geraldine was an absolute delight to host at our NZ home. Communication was excellent and she is very respectful and kind. I would highly recommend her as an exchange partner!
Geraldine and her friend were great guest. Very respectful, sweet and easy to communicate with.
Glad you enjoyed our place and country.
Winnie and Les were great communicators before, during and after our exchange . Despite being on their own exchange in Australia, they were able to support and provide solutions for an unexpected event.
Their beautiful condo is in an amazing location near many restaurants and harbor activities which we fully enjoyed. The view from their full length windows is outstanding overlooking the harbor. We enjoyed endless entertainment watching float planes, ferries , cruise boats, and other marine activities moving through the harbor.
Definitely Victoria is one of our favorite exchanges!
Estelle, her family and friends were extraordinary guests . Communication was excellent. They left my home in excellent condition going above and beyond what is expected.
This was the family’s second visit to my home . They are such a fun family!
They left sweet gifts including a great drone view of my home which I hope to post on People Like Us!
Peter and Teodora graciously shared their home while I attended a wedding in Palm Springs. Their condo is well located near downtown, highly walkable to shops and restaurants. It is comfortable, clean, spacious and has everything you need. What I truly loved about their home is that it is decorated in a cool midcentury style that fits in with the team around Palm Springs. The swimming pool is right outside the front door!
Peter had excellent communication and responded quickly( despite being in far away London)
They are an awesome couple and great representatives of the PLU community!
Danni and Erna were wonderful guests. They are a charming and warm couple. They left my home in great condition. I was fortunate to able to spend last day in Denver with them showing them beautiful mountain country. I look forward to my future visit in their Iceland home.
Carey and Peter were excellent guests. As a hospitality exchange we took a tour of some special sites near Denver. Their enthusiam for travel and meeting new friends was pleasantly contagious. They were respectful of my home and and left my home tidy. Pete even solved a little household problem for me. I was so appreciative of his help.
We had fun getting to know each other, sharing stories of travel and family. I sincerely hope we meet again.
You will love having them in your home!
Tui’s Rest is the name of Pete and Judy’s sweet bach
( beach home). It is the perfect name for their home . The birds flock to their trees and in the morning, one is greeted by lovely songs. The beach is a couple of blocks away so it easy to enjoy walking on the beach, ocean sports, and watching surfers. It is a surfers paradise with large, perfectly curled waves. I think Whiritoa Beach is one of the prettiest beaches I visited on my. NZ trip. Coromandel Penisula is lush and has great little towns to visit. Their home is lovely and accommodate quite a few people. I am sadden that I could not have stay as long as I initially planned. Pete and Judy are great members of the PLU community. Pete has been wonderful to hold me a stop in their home since before Covid. His communication has been excellent and responsive. It has been a joy getting to him over the past three years. You will definitely enjoy your stay there!
Katerine and Trevor have an amazing home. It is beautiful inside and outside. Lake Taupo is just a couple of blocks away from the home with gorgeous views from multiple locations in home. We had everything we needed for our visit as well as a great bottle of wine! So many superlatives could descibe the beauty of this home. And likewise, this could be said of Katherine! I had to make several date changes due weather, ferry changes, time to arrive as initially scheduled and was generously accomodated. I am especially thankful for her generosity in sharing her home with me and my travel companion. The Palin’s are a wonderful asset to the PLU community. Thank you from my heart!
Laurie and Joe’s home is amazing! It is well located to access all of the activities available in the beautiful Abel Tasman National Park. Their home is spacious and well appointed. We were delighted to find persimmon and feijoas trees ready to be picked.. While there, we enjoyed a beautiful fall wine tour of local vineyards, a morning kayaking in nearby Kaiteriteri, made multiple stops in the local bakery, and a visit to the nearby city of Nelson.
Laurie’s communication is excellent. She was a great help in assisting us arrange a long awaited trip to New Zealand. We appreciated her check ins with us to make sure we had everything we needed despite being busy with her family’s own travel plans. We totally enjoyed our there and highly recommend others visit this amazing area and their beautiful home! You will love it!
Xenia and Hairo’s condo is fabulous! The property is amazing, well kept with a a gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains . Beautiful pool . You can walk to town and to the beach. We visited several different beaches during our visits and tried several restaurants in town. All were great and prices were reasonable. They were wonderful hosts and easy to communicate with. Jaco is a perfect little town to visit. We took a trip to beautiful Manuel Antonio National Park and took a very interesting tour of Rainforest spice plantation near Quepos. I highly recommend both. If you do go to Manuel Antonio National Park, plan to visit the beach there. It is stunning.
We had a terrific vacation and enjoyed every minute of our stay there. Thank you fior the opportunity.
