General Overview

Our property is a cozy jungle retreat with a few different spots to stay. We have a one-floor house called Casa Joy, a two-floor villa named Casa Blanca, and a camper for those who like a little extra adventure. Also, we have 2 floors Glamping. In addition in the retreat space we have other 1 floor glampings in the jungles, next to the river (5 min away from the first location by car). There’s a beautiful yoga deck with a wellness area — including a sauna, hot tub, and ice bath for the brave ones. We also have a gym space, a swimming pool that’s great for both relaxing and training, a barbecue area for laid-back dinners, and a garden where you can chill with a good book or morning coffee. At night, you can gather around our bonfire spot under the stars — it’s perfect for sunset chats and jungle stories. For parking, we have space on the property for two big cars and a couple of smaller vehicles like quads or bikes. There’s also extra parking space just in front, across the road, where up to three more vehicles can easily fit.

Guest Access

For your comfort and safety, we recommend getting a 4x4 vehicle or a quad bike. The roads in the jungle can be steep, bumpy, and off-road in places, and it’s part of the adventure here!

Neighbourhood

We live in Santa Teresa, a beautiful little beach town on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. It’s surrounded by jungle, so you’ll often see monkeys, parrots, iguanas, and butterflies around — nature is literally everywhere here. The vibe is super relaxed and international, with people from all over the world who came for the surf, the sunsets, and just ended up staying. The main road has pretty much everything you need: lots of cafés and restaurants with some of the best food you can find in Costa Rica — from local dishes to sushi, vegan spots, wood-fired pizza, and amazing bakeries. It’s a really vibrant area with a mix of locals and travelers hanging out, especially around sunset. There are also plenty of surf schools (since the waves here are famous), yoga studios, little shops, pharmacies, supermarkets, organic shops, and fruit stands, all really close by car. The closest beach to us is Playa Santa Teresa, where the sunsets are incredible and the beach stretches for miles with golden sand and palm trees. Not far from town you can also find waterfalls, natural tide pools, and quieter, hidden beaches if you feel like exploring. It’s one of those places where you can spend the morning surfing, grab a smoothie bowl, work from a beach café, and end the day watching the sunset with your feet in the sand. Santa Teresa has a special energy — a bit wild, a bit bohemian, and very free-spirited.✨

Getting Around

By car 5-6 min down the road to the main road of Santa Teresa, by walk 25 min down; It’s about a 30-minute walk uphill — give or take, depending on how sporty you’re feeling that day. From the beginning of the Santa Teresa (from Super Economico Supermarket) till our place we walked and it took around 1 hour in total.

Laura

Hi, we are Laura and Liran, living in Costa Rica, San Jose and Santa Teresa with 2 dogs and 2 cats. We are planning to celebrate our wedding this year 2025 in September in Greece, because not so many friends and family members could fly to Costa Rica from other countries. 😅 So, now we decided to try to exchange here our homes for summer Berlin - 12th till 26th of July (or non-simultaneously as well), and be closer to Greece and then try to travel to a dream destination Japan for our honeymoon trip in October, would be nice to find now place to stay there also here in PLU. ☺️✨❤️ Also, we can consider Canary islands/Ibiza if not Japan. We love nature and healthy, conscious lifestyle. We love paddle surfing, surfing, hiking, dancing, creating music, meditations and currently working on projects of "slow living" and "Eco Villages" in Costa Rica. We love traveling and exploring new places in the World together. ❤️☺️ We are non-smokers, non-drinkers, clean and neat, respectfully treat the places where we stay wether it is hotel room or homes from owners. 🙌
