Neighbourhood

Local supermarket 10mins walk. Residential area in popular surfing location. Lots of little 'huts' = free BBQ's for picnics. Lovely promenade paths to the beach. Watch surfers on the Bluff at sunset. Kitesurfing, stand up paddleboard (SUP) on the river nearby. Or, hire a little boat for a few hours fun on Maroochy River.

Getting around

Plenty of choice for quality food, local restaurants and cafes - all walking distance. Bus route nearby to visit Noosa, Caloundra or smaller coastal beaches for lunch. Free shuttle buses to/from local Surf Clubs. Con-x-ion shuttle bus to Brisbane airport. Greyhound bus 2 x daily for Australia ZOO. Uber of course or taxi's.

  • Our riverside apartment on Maroochy River was an amazing location with a gorgeous water view. Walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants and only a short drive to many attractions on the Sunshine Coast. We particularly appreciated the list of things to do in the area and the apartment was quiet and comfortable. Thanks Kerry and Greg for being our first PLU hosts.
