General overview

My resort space is close to the mountains, a ski resort, two golf courses, swimming pools, and much much more. You’ll love my place because of the many activities that are offered. The professionally managed resort just added a $10.95 daily resort fee payable upon check-in.

The space

Check-in is generally on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, but other days can work as well. I will definitely accept non-peak dates (April-June, Sept-Dec). High demand weeks (summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) are harder to get so please ask as early as possible. It is possible to get 2 connecting units for up to 12 people if you'd like. Unit Description: Top-of-the-line Massanutten Woodstone units have 2 separate bedrooms and 3 TVs. 1 bedroom has a king bed, the other has 2 single beds, and the living room has a sleeper sofa. The units include a very large jacuzzi tub. Units have a full sized refrigerator, microwave, etc. so they are designed for eating in, if desired. The exact unit is assigned upon checkin but the pictures show what you can expect. Call the resort or see the massresort website to obtain more information.

Guest access

We can request a unit with few or no steps if you wish. The mandatory resort fee gives guests access to the indoor gym and swimming pools. There is a steam room and sauna too. Other services include tennis, racquetball, pickleball, sand volleyball, basketball, fitness trail, water aerobics, wifi, copying, and washer/dryer usage. The concierge desk is available to help plan your vacation.

Neighbourhood

Massanutten Resort is the Mid-Atlantic's premier four season resort destination. It is located near Harrisonburg Virginia, less than 2.5 hours drive from D.C. The resort offers a wide variety of amenities including snow skiing, snow boarding, snow tubing, ice skating, 18-hole golf courses, miniature golf, go-carting, complete indoor/outdoor waterpark, full-service spa, gym, tennis courts, horseback riding, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, river rafting, kayaking, zip line, canopy tours, etc. Skiers will be thrilled with the ski area's 1,195-foot vertical drop, the highest in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. The extensive on-site sports complexes offer swimming pools, racquetball courts, exercise equipment, steam room, sauna, massage services, tennis courts, adults and children's programs. Located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Massanutten offers plenty to see and do both on and off the resort. This is an area rich history as Civil War battlefields, renovated plantations, and museums abound. (Note that some activities are seasonal and may not be available during your visit. The indoor waterpark, similar to Great Wolf Lodge, is a key family attraction open all year round). Other Area Attractions: Shenandoah or Luray Caverns, Vineyard, Virginia Quilt Musuem, Historical Homes, John C. Wells Planetarium, etc.

Getting around

I believe having a car is important to fully enjoy the area. Most activities will be more than 1 mile away. You will likely want to drive to buy groceries or dine out as well.
