General Overview
This quiet, peaceful neighborhood just outside Wichita is a fabulous place for families and a relaxing retreat!
The Space
Our main floor has the kitchen, master bedroom and bath, plus an additional bedroom and bath. The other three bedrooms and bathroom, plus living space and exercise space are all downstairs. There are two private decks, one off the kitchen and one off the master bedroom, both overlooking the fishing pond that is directly behind the house. Although we are in a closed circle neighborhood, our house feels very private overlooking the pond with big trees.
Guest Access
The house has a main level and a light-filled lookout basement, with one set of stairs. The entrance from the front door has a couple steps, as does the entrance from the garage.

Neighbourhood
Wichita is an amazing little city and I'm proud to call this area home! We are in Andover, just a couple miles east of the city, which has it's own small town vibe, but the entire area is perfect for families looking for a welcoming place to explore.
A few highlights...
- Tankanyika Wildlife Park
- Sedgwick County Zoo
- Botanica Gardens
- Exploration Place (children's museum)
- Aviation Museum
- Native American Museum
- Old Cowtown Historical Museum
- Great Plains Nature Center
- other art and historical museums
- multiple fabulous parks and lots of green space
- tons of murals and art sculptures throughout the city
- LOTS of live music every night of the week
- great fishing, camping, and hiking spots within an hour's drive
- TONS and TONS of LOCAL businesses to explore that are amazing!!! A couple of our favs are Nifty Nut House and The Spice Merchant
- If you love food... we have AMAZING local food!
Nearest airport
Wichita has a large airport that is about 20 minutes from our house. It is the Air Capital of the World, and is home to all major aircraft manufacturing. We also have a smaller airport for private planes.
Getting Around
We are just a mile south of the main east-west highway (though there is no traffic noise!), so getting around town is super easy! We are just a couple minutes from Wichita, which has almost no traffic and everything is within about 15 minutes.
