General overview
Vail just extended their ski season from April 19 to May 1 and we are open to globes or a reciprocal trade. Lots to do in addition to skiing--great restaurants, nightlife, snow mobile, snowshoe, bike down valley, hiking.
*********************
Dates currently available: April Spring skiing, early summer May-June, Fall (great for hiking). In the summer-- July/3rd week Aug we are available to host.
We are often booked for the prime ski months. I generally trade during shoulder season if you are interested in skiing (Dec or April).
We are primarily looking for an international trade sometime in 2022 (not the holidays)--specifically a larger home that could sleep our kids (family of 7-8 adults) in Norway, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, or Panama. Would consider other international locations.
Specifically interested in skiing in Europe in 2023 if you want to trade for time in Vail.
Our Vail home is located in East Vail, 10 min from the ski resort in quiet residential neighborhood. 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, private office with sleep sofa, sleeps 10, huge wrap around deck, hot tub and pool.
East Vail is perfect for families. Walking distance to top notch fly fishing in Gore Creek and a beautiful park with beaver pond, and playground. 10 min free bus to Vail runs 4x per hour. Great hiking right outside your door.
Vail is beautiful in the spring and summer--the locals say "you come for the winters, but you stay for the summers! Fall is spectacular with the changing aspen colors.
NOTE: Last minute requests are preferred. Ski Availability primarily in shoulder season--Dec or April.
Notes
Summer in Vail is even better than winter--incredible hiking, biking, rafting, fly fishing.
10 min to the best skiing in CO and Vail's famous back bowls--available early Dec and April, and possibly more.
Ideal for Family getaway--walking distance to park, Gore Creek, playground and tons of on mountain activities for families.

Neighbourhood
East Vail is great location--close enough to take the free bus to the mtn (and not pay for parking) and for nightlife/restaurants, but quiet enough to get away from the downtown noise. It is primarily a residential area, with the best park in the area--great for kids, walking, hiking, seeing the beavers swim at the sunset. Every year we watch the meteor shower from a blanket in the park at midnight.
Nearest airport
EGE (Eagle airport is 1 hour west).
DEN (Denver Airport is approx 2 hours east--many more flight connections, we only use DEN).
Getting around
There is a free bus 4x per hour to Vail in the winter (approx 5-10 min walk to the bus stop)--due to Covid it might be running 2x per hour. Car recommended for grocery shopping.

We are primarily looking for S. America. Europe and SE Asia are also of interest. In the USA, we are always interested in Chicago and NYC.
