Neighbourhood
East Vail is great location--close enough to take the free bus to the mtn (and not pay for parking) and for nightlife/restaurants, but quiet enough to get away from the downtown noise. It is primarily a residential area, with the best park in the area--great for kids, walking, hiking, seeing the beavers swim at the sunset. Every year we watch the meteor shower from a blanket in the park at midnight.
Getting to my home
Car is recommended (we can not trade as our only car is not in CO). There is bus service from Eagle Airport to Town of Vail, and then local buses.
There is also bus service from Denver to Town of Vail.
Nearest airport
EGE (Eagle airport is 1 hour west).
DEN (Denver Airport is approx 2 hours east--many more flight connections, we only use DEN).
Getting around
There is a free bus 4x per hour to Vail in the winter (approx 5-10 min walk to the bus stop). Car recommended for grocery shopping.

We are primarily interested in S. America, Europe (especially Norway) and SE Asia. In the USA, we are always interested in Chicago and NYC, but you never know what may catch our attention!
Chris worked in Animal Health and covered the Middle East (15 countries) and I was working at an international school part time teaching (prior to Covid). Currently I tutor K-5 students with the Guatemalan Mayan Learning Center in FL.
In our free time, Chris is an avid cyclist and then he comes home and bikes with me. We both like hiking, skiing, kayaking, pickleball, and most sports.
Our current focus in on helping businesses in developing countries through USAID (United States Agency for International Development), and we are looking forward to our first assignment in Peru in January 2023.
