General overview
We live in rural Somerset. on the foot of the Mendip hills (AONB). We have a cosy 4/5 bedroomed house, with a large open plan kitchen / lounge, diner, separate living room, playroom and decent sized garden. We are right in the centre of the village - of which offers all amenities you could need for your stay.
The village of Winscombe offers everything you might need in a traditional English countryside village, including two gastro pubs within walking distance, cafes, chemist, grocery stores, play park, cycling route and lots of fabulous walking routes. We are right on the Strawberry Line - a traffic free line that runs from the Mendips to the sea.
We are located around 30 mins south of vibrant Bristol - a truly creative and energetic city, with plenty going on, year round. We are a comfortable distance from the historic city of Bath, Cheltenham / Gloucester, Stonehenge, and Glastonbury - home of the world famous festival. As well as being the gateway to Devon and Cornwall, and Wales (Cardiff only a 45 min drive).
You can get to Cheddar in 8 mins, Axbridge in 5, and if you fancy a coastal walk - Weston Super Mare, Clevedon and Brean are a short drive away.

Getting around
Everything needed within walking distance - a car would be advised for venturing further afield, but the public transport links are decent. We do have two cars, and have been able to insure guests on it, for a charge, in the past - may be an option if car hire is prohibitive.
