Hospitality
Hospitality Description: We’re happy to offer hospitality stays for a couple or small family (probably max four people) at other times of the year too. Please just note that if you’re joining us for a hospitality stay during Scottish term times, our family run music business operates from the front two rooms of the house during the late afternoons/ evenings during the weekday—but it’s low-key and won’t interfere with your stay. You might just bump into people in the vestibule! You’ll still have plenty of privacy and space to relax and enjoy your time with us.

Neighbourhood
Cammo is a tranquil, green area in the west of Edinburgh, with a strong community feel and excellent local amenities.
- Several children’s play parks just a short stroll away. Our favourite is in the middle of greenery overlooking a pony paddock
- Cammo Estate, a beautiful nature reserve, is at the end of our street. We also have Lauriston Castle, Cramond Beach, the River Almond and South Queensferry nearby for woodland walks and coastal views
- 5-minute walk to Barnton Shops – includes a post office (which also serves award winning doughnuts!) a pharmacy, food shop, Cloudberry (an independent café), Chinese take-away, Starbucks and Herringbone, our local neighbourhood restaurant. We also have a steakhouse a 7-minute walk away!
- 15-minute walk to Tesco, Caffè Nero, and Baynes, our popular local bakery
- Near Royal Burgess and Bruntsfield Links Golf Clubs and Barnton Park Tennis Club
- Larger shopping centres like The Gyle and Craigleith Retail Park are a short drive away
Nearest airport
Edinburgh airport is just a 10 minute drive away. Getting a taxi at Edinburgh Airport is quick and easy. The official taxi rank is located just outside the terminal building, clearly signposted and only a short walk from arrivals. Licensed black cabs are available 24/7, and there’s no need to pre-book. For those who prefer app-based services, Uber and other local providers also operate from the airport. If you prefer to take public transport, the journey is around 40 minutes.
Getting Around
We are in a well connected area and the local bus stop is about a minute away. We have:
- Direct bus routes into Edinburgh city centre
- Direct bus route out to South Queensferry and local boat trips
- Less than a 10 minute walk to the Barnton Junction, a well connected bus hub for exploring the rest of Scotland
- Easy access to the City Bypass, Queensferry Crossing, and motorway network which is ideal for day trips to Loch Lomond, the Highlands, Fife, and other beautiful areas
- Ample parking and nearby park-and-ride options

Hannah
We’re Andrew and Hannah, a couple with a one-year-old son and a small, friendly dog. Andrew is a piano teacher, and Hannah is a psychotherapist – we both work from home and enjoy the peaceful lifestyle our area offers.
We’ve previously had lodgers and hosted via Airbnb, so we know what makes for a warm, clean, and thoughtful guest experience. Travel is a big passion for us, and we’re excited to introduce our little one to the world through home exchanges.
We love:
Trying new foods and cafés
Going to the gym (especially Andy!)
Exploring nature and local parks with our son
Spending time with friends and family
We’re respectful, tidy guests who will treat your home with the utmost care.
We hope to chat with you soon!
