Our ranch-style open-plan home of 2000 sq. ft. is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in historic Venice, Fl.
A circle drive with large shade trees, a garden, and carport parking brings you to the front of the home. A screened-in lanai looking at the large back garden has loungers and chairs for a relaxing break.
The space
A kitchen with stainless steel appliances, lots of cupboards, and an island. The living room is large and opens into another seating near the dining area with an additional couch and chairs. The Smart TV room. has comfortable seating. There are two baths one with tub and shower, second with shower. In the two bedrooms, the master has a king-size bed, with a dedicated closet and drawer space for your use, and the guest room has a queen-size canopy bed.

Neighbourhood
This is a residential neighborhood in a historic town. There is Venice Beach and all the other beaches along the gulf from the Jetty to the pier, a Publix grocery store, Walgreen Drug store, banks, beauty shops, churches of all denominations, and an urgent care and hospital within a mile radius. The historic downtown, 5 -10 minute walk has unique stores, numerous restaurants, a community theater, and a gazebo in a park on most Friday evenings that hosts free live music concerts. There are events going on almost weekly downtown - craft fair, chalk drawing event, art fair sale, Christmas parade, Halloween family parade, Easter egg hunt, and more. The Intercoastal Walkway is steps away on the next street and can be walked or biked to Casperson Beach the last beach on the island with no traffic. It can be walked to biked to Sarasota.
Getting to my home
There are three bridges that cross over to the Island from Business 41. Once on the island, we are within one block from Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Nearest airport
Closest Sarasota SQR (20-30 minutes, Tampa TBA and Fort Meyers both approximately 50-60 minutes drive.
Getting around
Venice Island is downtown and the beaches can be walked and biked. There are buses that go to Sarasota. However, they are not convenient for most travelers. A car will open up the whole Gulf Coast for your enjoyment and pleasure.
