General Overview

We are looking for Globes or exchanges in Europe.  This condo is on the east coast of Florida called the Treasure Coast. It is located on South Hutchinson Islands in a gated Beach Front Community called Ocean Village. This is a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. Located on the second floor with an elevator.  You can take a 2 minute walk and be on the sandy beach.  Where you can enjoy surf fishing, shelling and of course swimming. The community has 4 pools, 9  tennis courts along with basket ball, shuffle board  and bocce ball. there is a tiki bar near the biggest pool. Additionally The Island Beach Bar and Restaurant  overlooks the beach.  You will need a car but there are bike rentals and scooters available to rent locally. We are smack in the middle of the treasured coast, and there are plenty of places to snorkel, or dive for treasure. We are directly next to the sailfish capital of the world. The area has wonderful museums, world class fishing and great golf onsite as well as nearby. We are 90 minutes to the Disney area. There is so much to do and nothing to do if you prefer.  You can horseback ride on the beach or just relax. There is an area to BBQ, overlooking the fountains in one of the ponds. You can't beat the Beautiful sunrises, and sunsets.

The Space

The total sq feet of the condo is 1168,  with added space for a  lanai, ( covered porch) you will get a beautiful view of the  8th fairway of the on a pristine well manicured golf course. We are about 300 yards to the ocean. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other a king bed. There is a jacuzzi (deep soaking) tub in the main bath and a seated shower in the other. We have a full equipped kitchen with pots, and pans, a stove with oven a microwave, dishwasher, blender dishes, and more.  We provide all linens as well as beach blanket and beach towels. For your convenience.  We have a full size washer and dryer in the unit. Along with hairdryer, iron and beach toys, chairs and coolers.

Guest Access

A gated private community right on the beach. Our building  is a 3 story building and we are on the second floor with an elevator. You will need to provide ID to enter the gate.  I have a digital lock, that I will give you a code to enter. You can change the code if desired.

Notes

This is a second home and generally free of allergens.  Guest  have to request a pet and be approved.  Although I cannot guarantee that no cats have been in the condo.  We use it for rentals in our peak season so generally not available in winter. Although in some case a guest can bring a pet if they are renting for 30 days or more. It is thoroughly cleaned after all guest and extra cleaning done after a pet visit's. There is tile or vinyl floors through out. There are plantation shutters on the windows with screens. Giving you privacy. And keeping the hot sun out.

Getting to my home

We are about one hour from West Palm Beach airport  or 2 hours from Ft Lauderdale, or the Miami airport. You can also fly into Orlando which is 90 min away. You will need a car, along with Uber or Lyft that are around. There is also a free on demand shuttle

Getting Around

You will need a car, so that you can explore the island and beyond. there are bike rentals, and scooters available to rent. There is a free shuttle services also. A Ubers are always around

Everything was spot-on in Linda's place in Fort Pierse. Fantastic big condo with everything one could need. The balcony looks out onto the 8th. fairway of the immaculately maintained golf course which we made great use of. Choice of pools on the complex and 300 yards from the beach. Can't go wrong! Love it!

Linda’s place in Fort Pierce had everything we needed to have a great time. The condo was spacious, clean, and everything was in fine working order. It was a nice setup for my husband who is a bit disabled. Most mornings, we enjoyed coffee on the patio while we watched cheerful golfers pass by. The 55+ community is very secure and the guards were friendly and helpful, including when we first checked in. The entire community is beautifully maintained, including multiple swimming pools, a new fitness center, and walkways across natural dunes to the beach. Many mornings, I walked to the beach to watch the sun rise out of the Atlantic, with a different show each day. (Fort Pierce calls itself the Sunrise City, with good reason.) During our month there, we went to minor league baseball games, a local oyster festival, craft fairs and farmers markets with great fruits and veggies. We went to Cape Canaveral to meet astronauts and watch rocket launches -- and several launches were visible from the beach near the condo. We dined at an elegant restaurant for our anniversary, walked on beautiful beaches and nature trails, and ran into some friends from our old sailing days aboard Pioneer. Our hosts were great communicators and we look forward to meeting Linda and Peter in Montana this summer!
