West Footscray is just 15 minutes by train to the city. Tottenham Station is just 300m away, so very accessible for those travelling without a car. Our home is in West Footscray, a working class suburb that is going through 'gentrification'. Our home is just a 15 minute train ride from Melbourne Central Station (CBD). The local shopping centre is 1km away, with a supermarket, fruit and vegetable shop and butchers etc. West Footscray is near to the cafe culture suburbs of Yarraville (4km) and Seddon (3km), whilst also being in the middle of foodie hubs, Sunshine and Footscray. For those who enjoy the nightlife, Footscray is only 6 minutes by train and has quite a few cool bars and pubs, as well as excellent restaurants.
