General Overview
Our home is about 150m to a very good swimming beach. There is a walking and bicycle path along the beach which is very popular during most of the day. About 500m inland is a nature reserve which has the best of the regions flora and fauna available.
The beaches near us a very child friendly and safe although a 5 to 15 minute drive will take you to some of Perth's best surfing beaches..
The Space
Our home is on the northern beaches 20 minutes from the Perth centre. Our beach is sheltered with reefs and so adults children can swim safely.
The house is on three levels - two at the front and one at the back. The top level is a parents area with ensuite and walk-in wardrobe. It has its our sitting area with very good ocean views.
The middle level has kitchen, dining, lounge and laundry.
The entry level has two bedrooms, a study, bathroom and toilet.
The kitchen has all modern appliances.
There is a patio out the front with some ocean views and a larger one at the rear which is sheltered.
The house has had extensive renovations including new double glazing, carpets, painting etc.
There are three TVs - parents area upstairs, lounge room and rear patio with Apple TV and streaming channels.
There is high speed (about 90mbps) unlimited broadband wifi system which cover the entire house.
There is a double lock up garage. Citroen Gand Picasso 7 seater or Porsche Cayenne.
North Beach is located a few km from the main north-south freeway and east-west freeways which means getting around is easy.

There are 3 levels wth two sets of about 8 stairs. It’s not suitable for wheelchair access.

We normally offer car exchange that makes it easy to get around. There is a bus stop within about 100m.

We had a wonderful home exchange stay in Mike and Lesley's home at North Beach, The location was fantastic—just an easy 80-metre walk to the beach, which made morning swims and evening sunset walks a real highlight. The Public transport in Perth is excellent and very convenient to the home with a bus stop around the corner and the Transperth app making it so easy to get to the bigger shopping centres, Perth city or other beaches in the area ( Hillarys and Scarborough beaches are great locations to visit) The home was very comfortable and well equipped with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay, water views from the lounge was lovely to look at each day to watch the boats and wind surfers. The area is very relaxed, safe, and welcoming, and it was the perfect base for enjoying the coastline and local amenities. Mikes communication was efficient and informative, We would happily recommend this home and location to other exchangers and would love to return in the future. -
Nice, spacious house and in the hot summer nice and cool with the quiet air conditioning! The lounge-relax chairs are top-notch. (Pot) = Plants needed a lot of water, covered area is great for sunbathing in the summer morning. We mainly came for the nice beach and resting. Everything within walking distance, good coffee house and bakery, nice restaurants, shop that are fine. Good Thai massage nearby. Communication with Mike went well, and drinking coffee halfway through our two-week stay was nice to see and speak to each other in person. Welcome to the Netherlands in May 2025 for your stay in my house. -

We couldn’t have had a better ‘first experience’ on the PLU platform. My sister and I stayed at Mike’s house for 8 nights, in exchange for a precious globe. Mike welcomed us on arrival and gave us a little tour. The house was clean and spacious, with several indoor and outdoor seating areas. The beds were extremely comfortable and so was the rain shower. The large Citroen Grand Picasso was the icing on the cake. The house is located only 150 meters from the ocean in a quiet location. There’s a small local supermarket for all your needs, and only a 10-minute drive away a very large mall. We’ve created some unforgettable memories! From walks along the ocean, to wildlife spotting in the National Parks (Whiteman and Yanchep). We visited Penguin Island and spotted many birds. However, Rottnest Island was definitely the highlight, meeting the quokkas. Perth CBD is easy to reach in 10 minutes, with the train from Sterling. And on the one rainy day, we had a great time in an escape room near Joondalup. We could easily have spent another week at Mike’s home and would highly recommend his place. We are currently searching for a property in Asia to use a globe for a week or so from end mid June 2026. Mike and Lesley have traveled to many countries for work and vacation. We have lived and worked in a number of countries including Malaysia and the UAE.
We are easygoing and like to travel to smaller communities to experience the local cultures, foods, and wines.
We prefer to exchange cars. We have a Porsche Cayenne or BYD Atto 3.
Mike retired from the position of CEO of a large organisation.
We are particularly interested in various wine regions of the world - there are still a few we haven't visited.
We have completed about 10 exchanges mostly in another platform and have received 5-star ratings for our home and us as guests.
