General overview

The home is on a 3-acre property and it always feels like vacation around here! We are close to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, a few ski resorts, lots of disc golf, golf courses, pickle-ball and tennis courts around us. Lakes to kayak are easy to find and access (we have kayaks for use), as well as plenty of beautiful camping and hiking opportunities all around us. Pick up a game of badminton, or relax in the hammocks for absolute peace and quiet. If you fancy a night out, crave take-out or are in the mood for shopping- just exit the street and you are right in town! Make your home away from home in our beautiful, convenient & quiet neighborhood.

The space

The home has 3 main bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom. The basement has 4 bunk beds, lots of toys, games & a large TV with Wii. Each room is spacious and inviting. In the backyard, you will find a gas grill, a comfortable deck next to a fire pit and an acre of woods for some relaxing nature time. Under the sunroom you will find a little patio with a TV for outdoor sports watching, a large picnic bench on the upper deck, and a lower deck with seating next to the gas grill. We have a trampoline and zipline in the backyard as well, plus lots of yard games like badminton, corn hole, and swingball.

Guest access

Access to the home is by keypad. Parking is fairly easy and plentiful.

Notes

We have 3 indoor-outdoor cats. They use a cat door and do not use a litter box. Depending on the length of stay, they might need clean water and food, and perhaps occasional love if they feel like it. The youngest is the most loving and will probably love to snuggle anyone with a lap.

Neighbourhood

Our neighborhood is very quiet. You will often see deer in the backyard and in the street. Our street ends in a cul-de-sac and with only 19 homes, it is very peaceful and friendly, but right in town and only minutes away from gas, grocery stores, etc. About 15 mins from our sweet little buzzing downtown, the Arts district and the Innovation Quarter.

Getting to my home

Finding us is pretty easy! The gps will bring you right to our driveway with no difficulty. Winston-Salem is about an hour northeast of Charlotte, 2 hrs east of the famous & gorgeous Asheville, 2 hrs west of Raleigh-Durham and in what is called the NC Triad- forming a triangle with Greensboro and High Point. We are less than 20 mins from major highways, including I40, US52 & I285. Getting around is easy & traffic is mild.

Getting around

We have plenty of affordable ubers available out this way, but no public transport nearby. Having a vehicle will be your best bet. We can potentially swap vehicles if needed.
