General overview
Very bright, comfortable and stylish apartment in the very central and beautiful Canal Saint-Martin neighborhood. The building is right on the canal, between two charming footbridges. There are many amazing bars and restaurants in the area.
The space
My apartment is a lovely one bedroom, sunny apartment in the center of Paris, on the Canal St. Martin. It is 40 square meters with an equipped kitchen, a spacious shower, washing machine and live-in guardian. There is wifi and a nice sound system. Built in about 1900, it has all the charms of an old Parisian building.
There is a very comfortable double bed and the couch is long/large enough to sleep one adult comfortably.
There are several metro stops within walking distance, but the closest is Rébublique, one of the city's main hubs. It is also close to the Gare du Nord, offering quick access to both airports. In brief, you can get anywhere easily from this location.
The apartment is located right on the canal, where you can take nice walks or have a drink on one of the many terraces. In addition, you can just pop open a bottle and have a picnic on the canal, right in front of the building. The streets on the upper half of the canal is closed to traffic on Sundays so you can rent a city bike and go for a ride without worrying about safety. The neighborhood is full of amazing restaurants, shops and cafés.
Guest access
The apartment is on the fifth floor and it is a walk-up, no elevator. Very good for the rear :-)
However, it would not be suited for anyone with special mobility needs.

Neighbourhood
The neighborhood is the very picturesque Canal-Saint neighborhood, with footbridges over the canal. When it is warm outside you can just pop down and have a picnic on the canal, right outside the front door (eco-friendly picnic supplies in the apartment).
Getting around
Transporation options are numerous. The apartment is a five-minute walk from the Place de la République, one of the city's main transportation hubs, with several metro lines, buses and a taxi stand.
The Gare du Nord train station is also just up the road, where you can catch a direct train to the airport and the Eurostar.
