General overview
Our home is newly remodeled and has a very open feel. We have two outdoor areas, while not big in size are very nice for gatherings both big and small. Our favorite feature of our home is the indoor atrium which serves as an outdoor living room inside our house (see pictures). We also love our huge master bedroom and bathroom. Also our neighborhood is very dog friendly and you always see friendly faces walking their little ones.
The space
We have a large kitchen. Our living area is rather big as well with a living room and tv room that is separated by the atrium which is an outdoor/indoor living room. Our master bedroom is quite big with a his and hers master bathroom. There are 3 bathrooms overall. The second bedroom is on the smaller side.
Guest access
There are 2 floors and you will need a garage opener to park in the subterranean parking garage, which has 2 reserved spots for us and plenty of guest parking.

Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood is a good balance of city and suburbs. We are about a 3 minute drive (20 minute walk) to a smallish (LA standards) city.
Our streets and nearby streets are always full of people walking with their kids and dogs.
We have a local coffee shop, deli, and restaurants (both casual and out going ) that we love and would happily share with anyone that is interested.
Within a 10 minute drive in multiple directions there are much bigger and livelier cities (although not like downtown LA,NY,SF) but still full of LA style restaurants, coffeeshops, workout studios.
Getting to my home
I imagine most people will be flying into LAX. If somehow you are able to fly into Burbank Airport (due to a connecting flight) this will save you about half the distance in the commute.
Once landed it will be about a 30-40 minute drive from LAX (with plenty of uber options) and a 20 minute drive from Burbank Airport.
There is also a service called Fly Away, which works quite nice for our area because the bus takes you to a central location about 10 minutes from our house. This will be the cheapest option but will have to be scheduled in advance. You will want to schedule it from LAX to Van Nuys.
Nearest airport
LAX is the nearest and most likely. Burbank is actually closer but less likely for international travel unless there is a connecting flight.
Getting around
You can walk and electric scooter to a lot of places. There are many brands but getting a lime or Byrd app will be your best bet.
Ubers are everywhere and a very cheap (relatively) way to travel. We have a subway that stops rather close to our house that can take you all over LA but our underground system is not as efficient as other cities, primarily because we are such a big city and still some form of other transportation is usually required in addition to the subway.
*** Depending on the arrangement we make, we have a vehicle that can be used.
