General Overview

Driggs is the heart of Idaho’s breathtaking Teton Valley, offering stunning views of the Grand Tetons and is a year-round destination. In winter, visitors enjoy premier skiing at Grand Targhee Ski Resort and Jackson Hole Ski Resort, while summers bring opportunities for world-class fly fishing, home to the Southfork of the Sn.ake River. The surrounding areas also provide incredible hiking and wildlife adventures. Its proximity to Jackson, WY, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park makes it an ideal base for exploration. The Driggs downtown area offers plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment oppertunities.

The Space

One-bedroom with queen bed and spacious kitchen/living area with sectional/pull up double bed for total accommodations of four. Stunning mountain views from the private balcony equipped with weber BBQ Fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances including dishes, pots & pans, glassware, blender, toaster, and coffee maker. The unit also has a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board. While we do not have cable, the televisions are streaming capable. Guests must provide their own logins. Primary home hot tub available for shared use with host.

Located a short distance from Grand Targhee Ski Resort, the Snake and Teton Rivers, and the nearby National Parks, this is the ideal accommodation for any summer or winter vacation. 20 minutes (11 miles) to Grand Targhee Resort 1 hour to Jackson, WY and Jackson Hole Ski Resort 1 hour (40 miles) to Grand Teton National Park ( 1 hour, 45 minutes (94 miles) to Yellowstone National Park Additional info on activities and site seeing: SUMMER Yellowstone National Park The World's First National Park On March 1, 1872, Yellowstone became the first national park for all to enjoy the unique hydrothermal and geologic features. Within Yellowstone's 2.2 million acres, visitors have unparalleled opportunities to observe wildlife in an intact ecosystem, explore geothermal areas that contain about half the world’s active geysers, and view geologic wonders like the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. Access to Yellowstone National Park varies from year to year, depending on seasonal conditions. Typically, the West Entrance, the entrance closest to Teton Valley, is open from early-May to late-October. In the winter, the only way you can access Yellowstone is by booking a professional snowmobile or snowcoach tour. As conditions are subject to change, we strongly recommend checking the National Parks Service website for up-to-date information before planning your visit to Yellowstone. Float the Teton River One favorite local activity is floating the Teton River. The Teton River runs south to north through the valley, starting near the town of Driggs. This stretch of the Teton River is a slow, placid body of water that is ideal for floating, stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), and kayaking. Gaze up at Grand Teton while casually paddling this gorgeous stretch of water, which meanders its way through Teton Valley—you might even spot a moose! Tucked away at the base of the Teton Range, the lake is a centerpiece of the park. From the east shore, visitors have views of Teewinot Mountain, Mount St. John, and into Cascade Canyon. From the west shore, visitors can look back across the lake towards the valley of Jackson Hole. Several popular trails leave from Jenny Lake. Hikers can loop the lake, visit Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point, or travel into the backcountry via Cascade Canyon. Longer trails such as Lake Solitude or Hurricane Pass can be accessed from Jenny Lake. Visitors have many options in how to explore Jenny Lake: hike a trail, take a boat ride, hang out by the lakeshore, or stop by the visitor center. Park at Jenny Lake to access all aspects of the area. Parking is limited. In summer, the parking lot fills and you may be required to park along the road. If doing so, pull fully off the shoulder. Taggart Lake Hike Explore this 3.8-mile loop trail near Moose, Wyoming. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 32 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and horseback riding, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through October. Mesa Falls At Upper Mesa Falls, a thunderous curtain of water – as tall as a 10-story building – pours over remnants of an ancient volcanic super-eruption. A mile south, Lower Mesa Falls repeats the performance, the river continually chiseling away at the solidified ash and lava. The beautiful Upper and Lower Mesa Falls are the last prominent waterfalls on the Snake River unaffected by manmade influences. A scenic walking path leads to excellent viewpoints. Packsaddle Lake Hike Get to know this 6.4-mile out-and-back trail near Driggs, Idaho. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 57 min to complete. This is a very popular area for camping, fishing, and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. Wind Cave Hike Spectacular views. Challenging hike. Awesome cave to explore. Well-maintained trail. Wildlife. Wide variety of wildflowers during summer. Beautiful creek. Wild huckleberries to eat along the trail. 6 miles roundtrip. Elevation gain: 1880 feet. Horseback Riding Giddy up, partner! It’s time for a scenic horseback ride through Teton Valley. At Linn Canyon Ranch on the outskirts of Driggs, enjoy guided Wind Cave Spectacular views. Challenging hike. Awesome cave to explore. Well-maintained trail. Wildlife. Wide variety of wildflowers during summer. Beautiful creek. Wild huckleberries to eat along the trail. 6 miles roundtrip. Elevation gain: 1880 feet.rides or a sunset dinner ride through aspen groves and fields of wildflowers. When the snow falls, bundle up for a magical sleigh ride through wintry Idaho landscapes. During your ride, keep an eye out for local wildlife. Back at the lodge, warm yourself by the fire in anticipation of a splendid dinner. Driggs Teton Valley Rodeo (mid June to mid August) When visiting the West – or even if you live here – catching a summer rodeo is a must-do, and there’s no better place to embrace your inner cowboy or cowgirl than at the Teton Valley Rodeo. Conveniently situated in close proximity to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Park, the Teton Valley Rodeo makes for an ideal stop on the travel itinerary. The whole family can get up-close-and-personal with the rodeo action, all while drinking in the majestic scenery of the breathtaking peaks of the Tetons, bathed in the rays of a pink, summer sunset. There’s something for everyone at the Teton Valley Rodeo: food, fun, and entertainment for the whole family. You won’t find a more authentic western experience than this. Work Class Fly Fishing Explore some of the best fishing that the Gem State has to offer and dubbed the best in the United States. On your Idaho fly fishing trip, expect to fly fish on a different stretch of river every day. With over 25 different sections of river fishing on three blue ribbon fisheries near Driggs Idaho, there are years of discovery awaiting even the most experienced fly fishermen. At six thousand feet above sea-level, Henry’s Fork flows out of a spring created by volcanic activity more than a millennium ago. Teton Canyon Snow Shoeing, Cross Country Skiing, Skate Skiing, Fat Biking This trail provides outstanding views of the Grand, Middle, and South Tetons from the western side.T he trail begins southeast from the parking area, following the snow-covered groomed road that serves as the summer access to Teton Canyon for hiking. From Driggs ID, drive east on Ski Hill Road (in the direction of Grand Targhee Ski Resort). Turn right onto Teton Canyon Road, parking area is at trailhead. Astoria Minerial Hot Springs Astoria Hot Springs features six different man-made soaking pools filled with natural thermal waters, which are controlled at different temperatures in each pool. Situated within Astoria Park and along the banks of the Snake River, Astoria Hot Springs is one of Jackson Hole’s most unique outdoor experiences and family-friendly activities.
