General Overview
Our gorgeous hideaway is a converted and modernised coach house with full underfloor heating system. We have a large log burner and are in a country setting with lots of walks around from right outside the house so often see Pheasants and the odd Peacock walking by outside! Although we took these photos over Christmas when we were lucky to get snow, the Coach house is in a setting which is equally beautiful in the Summer/warmer months when the outdoors can be particularly enjoyed.
The Space
The centre piece of the house is a high beamed living room with log burner. The master suite occupies the full upper floor of the coach house and has a Super King sized bed, thick carpets and en-suite bathroom with bath & shower. There is then a second bedroom with King sized bed and finally a third bedroom/office with Double sized sofa bed. There is a second bathroom with a second shower.
Guest Access
2 floors with one set of internal stairs to the master suite.

Tanya's home is beautiful. Set in a cosy, Scottish Borders town. Cosy and magical inside. Everything you could possibly need for either a romantic or family stay.
We loved our trip.
We had such a lovely stay at Tanya & Marius’ home in Scottish Borders. Their home is so comfortable and clean with everything you need! We were surprised how much there is to do in the area and could easily have spent more time there. From castle tours to hill walks to Edinburgh to the coastline, it’s a beautiful area! We loved being in a rural area and driving through the countryside, seeing the sheep and lots of wildlife - Scotland must be one of the most beautiful places in the world! A big thank you to Tanya for all the information about the area and being available to answer our questions during our stay. We can’t wait to host your family next summer!
Tanya’s home was absolutely perfect. We stayed there with our 3yr old and 8m old. It’s exceptionally well equipped and had lots of things to keep the 3yr old occupied with. The surrounding area is beautiful and we loved seeing all the pheasants. We had the local play park (walkable) to ourselves every day. There are lots of villages to travel to within a short drive and we could have definitely explored more than we did (and if kids were older and not restricted us with feeds, naps etc).
Would definitely love to return in the future!

Amanda was a fantastic guest, very fast booking with extremely clear communication. She was kind enough to offer to pay for the cleaning cost before entry and left the property in a super condition. So glad that you enjoyed your trip so much, you're welcome again anytime!
Leah and Scott were great guests to host. Communication was smooth and we managed to arrange an exchange very quickly and easily. Whilst staying with us they were very thoughtful about our house and offered to go above and beyond expectation to leave the property in a super.state in departure. Thank you for also sharing and introducing us to new local experiences we haven't yet discovered ourselves!
Lisa, Martin, Indie and Eden were wonderful guests. They are an extremely nice family so communication was fantastic and Lisa is very responsive. They were proactive at leaving the house in a better condition than was requested, very much appreciated! You would be welcome back anytime!

Tanya
Family of four, girl oriented! We are in our 40's with two gorgeous girls aged 10 & 8. Originally from Scotland but now living in England, we have our Coach house in the Scottish Borders as a second home to keep us close to our roots and family. We are both working professionals but love to make the most of our holidays travelling to new places and our favourite areas. We love our trips to be a good balance of de-compressing and re-charging the batteries but also giving our girls as much cultural exposure as possible.
