Vacation in the largest gated community in the United States. My picture postcard deck overlooks a serene wooded area abundant with birds, deer and squirrels. With 9 golf courses, 7 lakes, tennis & pickleball courts, 2 outdoor & 1 indoor pool, and 26 miles of hiking, biking, and golf cart paths, Hot Springs Village is a stay in and of itself, but you cannot miss the wonder of nearby Hot Springs National Park.
The space
The upper deck is just off the living room and is supplied with tasteful outdoor furniture and grill. The second floor deck provides a heated setting for chilly and/or rainy mornings with coffee. French doors on both floors invite the outside in and make the inside space bright. This two-floor townhouse is equipped with everything a home needs to provide a comfortable and clean stay. Wood flooring throughout the unit with a few space rugs strategically placed either for traffic needs or visual aesthetics make this a pet-friendly space. Guests have access to one full bath with European-style walk-in shower and guest towels & linens. There is a 1/2 bath off the living room with a vessel-style sink and waterfall faucet. Kitchen is equipped with dishes, pots/pans, cleaning products and applicants (dishwasher, fridge/freezer/stove/oven/microwave/bread machine). Kitchen and both bathrooms have granite countertops. Top deck has propane grill & air-fryer. Adult accommodations provide an AirBnB-worthy master bedroom with King-sized, ultra comfortable bed. There is an additional, queen-sized pull-out bed in the living room for passing guests. The townhouse is fully Alexa-enabled with WIFI and includes a easy-to-operate Nest Thermostat for those hot or cool days. Large-screen TVs are in both the master bedroom and living room and are equipped with FireTV (Netflix, Acorn, Britbox, Prime, HBOMax, MHC, PBS Documentaries, PBS Masterpiece Theatre). There are 2 parking spaces in front mere steps from the front door. There is a washer and dryer in the unit along with detergents or an eco-egg if you prefer.
Guest access
The entire townhouse minus 1 bedroom is available for guests and will be unoccupied while you are here. Since this is a gated community, a visitor pass will be granted for your stay which gets you in and out of the village and grants you access to the many village amenities described in the Neighbourhood section of this listing.
Notes
Well mannered (= non-chewing or/and non-destructive) & house-trained pets are welcome, although large dogs may have difficulty with the stairs. There is no carpeting within the unit. There are plenty of lovely places to walk dogs around the townhouse, we just ask that you pick up after them if they relieve solid waste in and around foot traffic areas. There isn't a kitty litter facility, but you are welcomed to bring your own. This is my home, so there are plenty of cooking/baking supplies (spices/flour/sugar) that you are welcome to use. I just ask that you replace anything you happen to use up. Please do not hold any raucous parties so my neighbors won't hate me, but you are welcome to invite folks over. Quiet time in the village is 10 pm as there is a noise ordinance.

Neighbourhood
Hot Springs Village is the largest gated community within the USA. And unlike The Village in Florida, we are not packed with homes. There are acres of wooded and undeveloped areas which make our community unique and pretty. With spa and bathhouse experiences resembling the 1920’s, in spring water devoid of Sulphur and delicious to drink, there is plenty to explore: Gangster Museum, Ohio Club, Oaklawn horse racing, go karts, unique shopping, and restaurants, to name a few. Nearby some of the best bass fishing in the USA, with affordable boat rentals on Lake Ouachita, hiking, & world-class mountain biking trails. Enjoy some of the best rock-hounding opportunities especially if you follow The Crystal Collector Bryan Majors. This part of Arkansas is the best kept secret of all. Exchange comes with a "visitor pass" which allows access to all of Hot Springs Village Amenities and restaurants. Make sure to bring your Golf Clubs or prepare to rent some! If golf isn't your thing, then we have several antique stores to look through and the lovely Garvin Gardens is beautiful during the Spring. Little Rock is only a 35 minute drive away for theatre or symphonies. There is a super Walmart within 5 miles just outside the Village gates, a well-stocked liquor store within walking distance, and is next to the nearest gas station. The nearest restaurants that I would recommend are The Waypoint & the new Desoto 501. Both can are under 2 miles from the townhouse.
Getting to my home
Flights into Little Rock are the closest, although Hot Spring does have an airport if you want to fly in a tiny plane. A car is a must here as there is no public transportation. Amtrak does stop in Little Rock, but it usually is around 3 am and the station isn't in the best of neighborhoods. Hot Springs Village has two non-member gates. The one on the East side (closest to Little Rock on Hwy 5) is closed after 9 pm, so the best way in after-hours is through the West Gate on Hwy 7 as that gate is open 24/7.
Nearest airport
LIT Little Rock, about 40 miles by car.
Getting around
Renting a car is a must as there is no public transportation in the village. We are out in the wilds of Arkansas. We have two very nice restaurants within 2 miles from my home so you could walk there if you wish as are hiking/biking/golf cart paths between here and there. I typically ride my bicycle to them for lunch.

Almost retired female with small dog, a maltipoo that doesn’t shed, doesn’t chew on anything, and is house trained. I live in a Townhouse that was an AirBnB when I bought it, and I bought everything that was in it including towels. I wish to travel and spend some time in various places and I want to bring my dog with me. Right now, mostly in the USA until I get Bevo his Schengen Passport at the end of this year. (2022). I eventually plan to move to France, but that’ll be in a few years. Would like to exchange with others within the USA, until I get the hang of things. I also, own a travel trailer so I can vacate the premises and allow others to enjoy this beautiful place as long as enough notice is given.
