We have a three bedroom home with small office just 2 mins drive to very famous Australian surf beach or a 15 minute walk. It’s a lovely open plan home with high ceilings, wooden floors, corner spa in main ensuite and lovely smallish garden with a hot tub, fire pit and veggie patch. There a a big garage with ping pong table and basic gym for you to use. We are a close walk to local supermarket, chemist, gourmet deli, bottle shop etc. While we are in the suburbs, the street is elevated and very quite, with views from the master bedroom to the headland. It is our little piece of paradise near one of the best beaches in Australia for surfing, swimming and playing!
The space
The master bedroom has a walk in robe and large ensuite with corner bath. The second room has single bed with small office. The third bedroom has a double bed and office desk. There is a fourth small room that we use as an office. There are three living areas; a small room upstairs for reading, an open plan dining downstairs and open plan living area with front deck. There is also a backyard deck adjacent to the hot tub.
Guest access
It is a tiered home with some stairs so not wheelchair accessible. You can enter the house from the front door, rear year yard or through the double garage.
Notes
We are happy to leave a car for you to use. And we’d love someone who can care for our Labrador, coco, - but could make arrangements for her if needed.

Neighbourhood
It is a lovely peaceful neighbourhood and easy to walk to beach, shops, or even up the hill to visit the goats or horses. It is a regional town - so feels like you're in the country but with the amenities of a tourist village.
Getting to my home
Fly into Ballina airport and drive about 15 minutes to our place (or uber/taxi) or fly into Gold Coast Airport or Brisbane Airport and take bus shuttles (approx 1 hr from Gold Coast and 2 hrs from Brisbane).
You can walk to most shops inc supermarket, cafes, restaurants, hairdresser, chemist, bottle shop etc. You will also have use of our car if you need it. And it's a very bike friendly town and you're welcome to use our bikes.

Professional couple in our early 50s from Lennox head, Australia (just down the road from global tourist destination, Byron Bay). We are seeking a home exchange in Italy from August-October 2025 and also open to other exchanges, including NZ or Tasmania in January 2025. Our 18 year old may join for some of our holidays. Our place is 5 minutes to a fabulous East Coast surfing beach. Experienced house sitters but not house swappers! Happy to care for pets. We have a 9 year old loveable labrador.
